Aptar Beauty expands US production of Meridian aerosol platform
This move comes shortly after Aptar Beauty recently begun U.S. production of its AAT Vertical Slider Aerosol Valve at its Cary, Illinois, facility.
USA – Aptar Beauty has expanded U.S. production of its Meridian aerosol actuator platform at its Cary, Illinois manufacturing facility, shifting Meridian Spray production from Querétaro, Mexico and scaling up capacity for Meridian Mousse at the same site.
The move consolidates more of the platform’s North American supply under one roof and is intended to strengthen domestic manufacturing, improve supply-chain resilience and deliver faster, more reliable fulfilment for brand partners.
Meridian is a hooded aerosol actuator platform offered in two formats: Meridian Spray, designed for spray and powder-based formulations such as dry shampoos, hair sprays, texture sprays, deodorants, self-tanners, facial mists, makeup setting sprays, air fresheners, cooking oils and medicated sprays.
Meanwhile, Meridian Mousse is optimised for mousse, foam, gel, and lotion applications, including styling mousses, foam conditioners, hair-colour foams, cleansing foams, shaving foams, self-tanning mousses, body lotions, and pet grooming products.
Both variants feature a premium, contemporary look with clean lines, rounded contours and a soft-touch matte finish, plus ergonomic enhancements such as a textured finger pad, light actuation force and increased actuator height to improve comfort, control and application precision.

The platform is engineered for broad formulation compatibility across beauty, personal care, skincare, healthcare, home care, food, household and pet care categories.
In addition, it is compatible with Aptar Beauty’s VX Valve for continuous dispensing and with Bag-on-Valve systems for 360-degree dispensing.
Meridian Spray can also be paired with Aptar’s U.S.-made AAT High Powder Valve, which is suited to high-powder and shimmer formulations, while insert options allow brands to tailor spray patterns, particle size and output rates, including a fan insert for more even distribution.
