Givaudan reports USD 7.1B in first nine months of 2026

This compares with LFL growth of 5.7% and Swiss franc growth of 1.7% in the same period of 2025.

SWITZERLAND – Givaudan has reported sales of CHF 5,891 million (USD 7.07 billion) for the first nine months of 2026, representing Like-for-Like (LFL) growth of 5.2% and an increase of 2.6% in Swiss francs.

The company maintained good volume growth during the first nine months and continued to operate its business and global supply chain at a high level, despite ongoing geopolitical volatility.

Growth was broadly balanced across most geographies, customer groups, and business segments.

Fragrance & Beauty sales reached CHF 3,150 million(USD 490 million), rising 8.8% LFL and 7.8% in Swiss francs.

Acquisitions contributed 2.8% to growth, while currency translation reduced sales by 3.8%.

Fine Fragrance sales increased 15.3% LFL, against strong prior-year growth of 18.7%. Consumer Products sales rose 9.3% LFL, compared with 5.9% LFL growth in the same period of 2025.

Sales of Fragrance Ingredients and Active Beauty declined 2.5%, compared with a 1.5% LFL increase in the first nine months of 2025.

Taste & Wellbeing sales totaled CHF 2,741 million (USD 426.9 million), up 1.5% LFL but down 2.8% in Swiss francs.

In the first nine months of 2025, the segment recorded LFL growth of 3.4% and a decline of 1.5% in Swiss francs.

The net effect of acquisitions and disposals in 2026 was close to zero, while currency translation had a negative impact of 4.3%.

Asia Pacific sales grew 7.1% LFL, compared with a 0.5% LFL decline in the same period of 2025, despite continued challenging end-market conditions in some regions. South Asia, Africa, and the Middle East increased 4.1% LFL, versus 8.8% LFL growth in the prior-year period.

Europe sales rose 1.5% LFL, compared with 3.8% LFL growth in the first nine months of 2025, while Latin America grew 1.1% LFL, down from 3.1% LFL.

North America remained difficult, with sales declining 3.3% LFL after growth of 3.9% in the same period of 2025.

The decline was driven by continued weakness in the Health and Functional Business Unit and US tariff refunds made to customers during the third quarter of 2026.

Givaudan’s 2030 strategy, “Driving sustainable growth with customers,” sets out the company’s direction for the next five years.

It aims to help Givaudan thrive in a dynamic market environment by delivering creative, high-value products and solutions that consumers love and that stand the test of time.

The company will build on its existing strengths and proven business model in its core business, while expanding into high-value adjacent spaces to support future sustainable and profitable growth.

Givaudan remains committed to its purpose of “Creating for happier, healthier lives with love for nature,” and will focus on three growth drivers and three growth enablers to deliver both financial and non-financial value.

These goals include reducing Scope 1, 2, and 3 greenhouse gas emissions in line with the SBTi Net-Zero Standard trajectory, and sourcing all materials and services in ways that protect the environment and people by 2030.

Givaudan will also continue pursuing strategic acquisitions that align with its strategic focus areas.
