Unilever Ghana reports USD 94.7M revenue in FY25

This growth was propelled by strong demand in Oral Care, Beauty, and Wellbeing categories, supported by refined sales strategies and expanded market penetration.

GHANA – Unilever Ghana has reported a strong fiscal performance for 2025, achieving revenue of GH₵1.039 billion (USD 94.7 million), reflecting an 11.7% increase from the previous year. 

Profit after tax jumped 62.5% to GH₵94.4 million (USD 8.6 million USD), with operating profit reaching GH₵144.5 million (USD 13.17 million) and margins improving to 13.9%. 

Cash reserves doubled to GH₵210.5 million (USD 19.2 million ), total assets stood at GH₵545.7 million(USD 49.77 million),  and inventories were optimized to GH₵103.2 million (USD 9.41 million).

The company boosted its dividend to GH₵37.5 million (USD 3.4 million USD), while operating cash flow soared nearly fivefold to GH₵203.0 million (USD 18.51 million). 

A tough first half gave way to a stellar second half, highlighted by Q4 revenue of GH₵259 million USD 23.62 million) and profit of GH₵35.3 million (USD 3.22 million).

Buoyed by cash strength and efficiency, Unilever Ghana targets ongoing progress in premium segments amid economic challenges. 

In other news, Unilever Ghana recently named Charles Boakye Nimako as its new Board Chairman, effective November 1, 2025, succeeding Edward Effah who stepped down on October 31.

Nimako offers more than three decades in global business, currently heading Africa Initiatives at Safe Water Network.

His past roles include CEO at PepsiCo franchises Beverage Investments Ghana and SBC Beverages, plus consulting at McKinsey & Company; he holds CPA and AICPA credentials.

This follows resignations by Dr. Edith Dankwa, Philip Sowah (September 30, 2025), and Angela Peasah (January 31, 2026), all after nine years. The firm expressed gratitude for their oversight.

In addition fie new non-executive directors joined: Peterson Ekow Afedzie (former Ghana Stock Exchange MD), Angela Kyeremanten-Jimoh (BrainWave AfricaTech CEO), Setutsi Goka Ivowi (ex-Nestlé leader), Djabanor Narh (consultant), and Gillian Sandra Slater (finance specialist, from February 1, 2026).

The refreshed board seeks to drive innovation, ethical governance, and expansion in consumer goods, aligning with Unilever’s sustainability and market strategies in Ghana.
