The launch curbs the so-called “pink tax”, the practice of charging higher prices for women-targeted products.

USA – Dollar Shave Club, an American grooming brand, has expanded into the women’s grooming market with a new line of razors, ergonomic handles, and shave aids.
The range includes a six-blade razor, no-slip wavy grip handles optimized for slippery showers and varied hand positions, and shave aids like shave butter, oil, sugar scrub, and post-shave body balm.
These incorporate hydrating ingredients such as argan oil, hyaluronic acid, and shea butter, scented with Cashmere Santal for a practical, non-frilly appeal.
Products are designed specifically for body hair shaving, addressing consumer pain points like inefficiency in traditional women’s razors.
CEO Larry Bodner positions the line as “anti-Venus, anti-Billie, anti-Flamingo”, extending the brand’s decade-long ethos of cutting “unnecessary fluff” from men’s grooming to women.
Larry stated, “For over a decade, we’ve cut out the unnecessary fluff that’s been upsold to dudes. Now, we’re excited to be doing the same thing for women.¨
Notably, 30% of Dollar Shave Club’s customers are women, with about 15% using men’s products themselves, validating the expansion.
Availability is via direct-to-consumer channels and Amazon.
The launch features two 30-second ads: a traditional spot titled “Introducing a Damn Good Women’s Shave” (acknowledging women “stealing” men’s razors) and an AI-generated “Clean Girls” claymation ad critiquing category clichés.
This dual approach tests performance across platforms, aligning with the brand’s disruptive, humour-driven style.
This move taps into the growing women’s grooming sector, where once-taboo products gain prominence, and consumers shift toward practical choices over performative branding.
According to a report by Fortune Business Insights, the global women’s grooming market was valued at USD 24.7 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 38.2 billion by 2032, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.2%.
The expansion is driven by rising demand for skincare, haircare, and cosmetic products, as well as increasing interest in natural and organic formulations.
Dollar Shave Club offers an extensive lineup of affordable grooming essentials, including razors, shave butter, cream, oil, sugar scrubs, post-shave balms, electric trimmers like the Double Header and 3-in-1 Freestyler, skincare such as face washes, moisturizers, and hair growth products, plus accessories like tool kits.
