Spectra Packaging partners with Scottish Fine Soaps to deliver sustainable packaging

SCOTLAND – Spectra Packaging,  a manufacturer of high-quality plastic packaging, has collaborated with Scottish Fine Soaps, a skincare company based in Scotland, to create luxury and sustainable bottles for their Sea Kelp range.

The Sea Kelp range features sea kelp sourced from Scotland’s coastline, renowned for its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

The soap bottles, available in 300mL and 500mL sizes, are made from Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) and Prevented Ocean Plastic (POP) materials.

These materials are collected from coastal areas vulnerable to plastic pollution and repurposed into sustainable packaging.

Additionally, the bottles are compatible with a range of pump options to enhance user convenience.

To reinforce Scottish Fine Soaps’ “luxury identity,” Spectra incorporated a colour gradient using a high-mesh screen process on natural and translucent bottles, giving the packaging a premium look.

Trisha Wood, designer at Scottish Fine Soaps, said, “We wanted a premium, sustainable bottle that stood out on the shelf while aligning with our commitment to eco-friendly packaging.”

“Spectra provided the perfect solution and delivered a beautifully executed gradient print effect that enhances the overall design.”

In addition to the Sea Kelp range, Spectra supplies Scottish Fine Soaps with sustainable packaging for its Au Lait collection.

These bottles, made from entirely Prevented Ocean Plastic (POP) and Post-Consumer Recycled (PCR) materials, feature high-density polyethene and a one-pass screen print to ensure crisp and consistent branding.

Scottish Fine Soaps produces a wide range of luxury bath, body, and skincare products.

As part of its 50th anniversary celebration, the company introduced a refreshed look for its Sea Kelp range and retro-style, Scottish-inspired Men’s Grooming Thistle & Black Pepper Collection.

Recently, Spectra Packaging collaborated with The House of Pineapple, a UK-based amenities and personal care products company, to supply premium bottles for The Little Amenities Box collection.

The Little Amenities box Collection includes body wash, conditioner, shampoo, body lotion, and Himalayan bath salt.

The bottles are made from Prevented Ocean Plastic (POP), sourced from coastal areas vulnerable to plastic pollution and recycled into new packaging.

Spectra used translucent bottles with a three-colour print featuring its 50 mL Boston Round bottle made with 35% POP through injection-stretch blow moulding, paired with a 35% POP polypropylene (PP) injection-moulded screw cap.
