GERMANY – Symrise, a global manufacturer of flavours and active ingredients, has launched Mindera, a new line of plant-derived ingredients.
The product is designed to safeguard leave-on cosmetic products such as emulsions, serums, and conditioners against microbial contamination.
The range features four ingredients with multifunctional benefits tailored for various skincare applications.
The collection features Mindera Ma and Mindera CH, multifunctional ingredients with antimicrobial, antioxidant, and soothing properties that stabilize emulsions and help regulate sebum production to support skin hydration and protection.
In addition, Mindera AA and Mindera Cin are antimicrobial agents with antioxidant and soothing properties, all of which possess chelating qualities that help stabilize formulations by preventing metal-induced degradation or contamination.
Sabine Lange, director of Functional Efficacy and Application at Symrise, stated, “With Mindera, we are solving the Naturalness Performance equation in cosmetic product protection.”
“Symrise proudly brings this technology to the market to provide customers with the adaptable, natural solutions they need for their formulations.”
According to the company, Mindera collection is a fully plant-based, eco-friendly innovation in the personal care industry, featuring ingredients derived from natural food industry sources that are scientifically proven safe for consumers and the environment.
In addition to Mindera, Symrise recently launched SymRelief green, a skincare solution designed for sensitive skin.
This 100% natural-origin ingredient combines the benefits of biotechnology-derived bisabolol and organic ginger root extract, setting a new standard for effective and sustainable skincare.
SymRelief green is formulated to provide immediate and prolonged relief from skin irritation and redness.
According to the company, the product achieves this by targeting the COL17A1 gene, which is crucial for collagen protection and the preservation of skin’s structural integrity.
This product is biodegradable and meets vegan, halal, and kosher standards.
The demand for plant-based ingredients is rising as consumers prioritize natural, eco-friendly products that reflect their commitment to health and wellness.
According to Statista, the revenue for the natural cosmetics segment is projected to reach approximately USD 397.15 million in 2025, with an annual growth rate of 4.53% expected between 2025 and 2030.
