Colgate Palmolive is redefining whitening with innovative solutions to make brighter smiles accessible globally.
USA – Colgate-Palmolive, a global producer of health care and personal care products, has launched the Colgate Optic White Whitening Pen, designed to revolutionize at-home teeth whitening.
The Colgate Optic White Whitening Pen is designed to offer a smooth, mess-free whitening experience, making application easier and more seamless with each use.
According to the company, this design eliminates the need for priming, guarantees uniform application, and helps maintain the formula’s freshness.
The initial version of the Whitening Pen laid a solid foundation, but the company recognized the potential to elevate the user experience by streamlining the application, improving coverage consistency, and enhancing the formula’s overall effectiveness.
Julie Fuentes, Senior Engineer, R&D at Colgate Palmolive, stated, “We saw an opportunity to reimagine the whitening experience.”
“We took inspiration from cosmetics, and this approach solved the issue while making it feel more intuitive to use.”
The product features several innovative enhancements, including a ½-turn thread closure for quick and easy access, a click-to-close mechanism for secure sealing with tactile and audible feedback, a grip-friendly squircle-shaped cap for easier handling, and a pressure venting system to prevent buildup and ensure smooth, controlled use.
The product is introduced at a time when the global market for oral care products focused on teeth whitening is thriving.
According to a report by Grand View Research, the market was valued at approximately $8.52 billion in 2024 and is projected to grow to $12.77 billion by 2032, at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.24%.
Recently, the company launched the Colgate Total Active Prevention System to provide comprehensive oral protection and prevention.
The three-product system includes a reformulated toothpaste, a state-of-the-art toothbrush and mouthwash that work together to fight and reduce bacteria effectively.
According to Colgate Palmolive, the innovative system is reportedly 15 times more effective at fighting the root cause of many oral health problems.
