Sol de Janeiro strengthens leadership team with key executive appointments

These executive appointments mark a key milestone as the brand surpasses USD 1 billion and enters a new growth phase.

USA – Sol de Janeiro, the globally celebrated beauty brand renowned for its vibrant Brazilian spirit and luxurious body care products, has announced two major executive appointments to support its next phase of growth. 

Laurie Lovett has been named Chief People & Impact Officer, while Elaine Paik joins as Chief Financial Officer. 

Both  Laurie and Elaine will report directly to CEO Heela Yang.

At Sol de Janeiro, Lovett will oversee Human Resources, Social Impact, and ESG initiatives, driving the company’s next phase of growth through a dynamic talent strategy, inclusive leadership, and programs that embody the brand’s core values of connection, care, and global spirit.

Paik will play a key role in reinforcing Sol de Janeiro’s operational foundation as the brand accelerates its growth across markets, product categories, and distribution channels.

These executive appointments signal a defining moment in the brand’s evolution, as it surpasses the USD 1 billion milestone and embarks on a new phase of expansion. 

With a strong emphasis on people, culture, and operational excellence, the company is positioning itself for sustained growth and innovation in the global beauty industry.

Laurie Lovett previously served as Global Chief People Officer at Nielsen and Verisk and spent 20 years at Accenture.

Elaine Paik previously worked as the CFO of Impossible Foods and held leadership roles at Colgate-Palmolive. 

Paik is known for driving strong governance, financial performance, and global growth readiness, making her instrumental in strengthening Sol de Janeiro’s operational backbone as it accelerates across markets, categories, and channels

Sol de Janeiro introduces new perfume collection

Sol de Janeiro recently unveiled a new limited-edition perfume collection, featuring three fresh scents inspired by iconic Brazilian destinations, including the lush gardens of Paraty, the shores of Prainha Beach, and the vibrant town of Búzios.

The collection features Flor Mística, Água Mística, and Dança Mística, each inspired by Brazilian landscapes and vibrant scents.

In addition, Sol de Janeiro has introduced a curated Scent Menu, offering layering guides to mix and match these new fragrances with the brand’s existing Cheirosa Perfume Mist collection.
