Slikk appoints Sachin Kataria as Head of Beauty & Personal Care amidst brand expansion

Kataria brings over 17 years of leadership experience.

INDIA – Slikk, an Indian Gen Z-focused quick-commerce platform, has appointed Sachin Kataria as Head of its Beauty and Personal Care (BPC) division.

This move signals the company’s strategic expansion beyond fashion and accessories.

Kataria, a seasoned consumer business leader with over 17 years of experience, most recently served as Vice President at Nykaa, where he played a key role in scaling private-label brands and deepening category penetration.

In his new role, Kataria will operate from the Founder’s Office and lead the end-to-end development of Slikk’s BPC vertical.

His mandate includes launching a comprehensive portfolio across skincare, makeup, haircare, wellness, and emerging indie labels.

He will also be responsible for crafting a high-impact go-to-market strategy, forging partnerships with legacy and D2C brands, and building a sharp assortment strategy tailored to Gen Z and millennial consumers.

Akshay Gulati, Co-founder, Slikk, stated, “Sachin’s depth of experience in building and scaling consumer businesses makes him the ideal leader to build our beauty and personal care vertical.”

“His deep expertise in the beauty and personal care category, paired with the rigour to build a 0 to 1 journey from the ground up, will empower us to rapidly scale our beauty, daily self-care, and wellness offerings.”

Slikk was founded in 2024 and is currently offering 60-minute delivery of curated fashion and lifestyle products across select zones in Bengaluru.

The company recently raised USD 10 million in a Series A round led by Nexus Venture Partners, with participation from Lightspeed.

The fresh capital is expected to fuel category diversification and geographic expansion, with the BPC segment playing a central role in this next phase of growth.

Kataria expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity, stating, “Beauty is deeply personal, but it’s also rapidly evolving.”

“Slikk’s model offers a unique opportunity to reimagine how beauty can be discovered, experienced, and delivered.”

His appointment underscores Slikk’s commitment to redefining quick commerce through a lifestyle lens.

Meanwhile, in a similar move, Honasa Consumer, the parent company of Mamaearth, has appointed Yatish Bhargava as its new Chief Business Officer.

Yatish takes over the role from Zairus Maste, who exited the company in February 2025.

He will oversee brand and channel growth across Honasa’s portfolio, strengthening its omnichannel strategy during a key phase of distribution restructuring under Project Neev.

Previously, Yatish had leadership roles at  Flipkart and Hindustan Unilever.
