The launch taps into the growing trend of skinification in hair.
SOUTH KOREA – Cosrx has expanded its product offering with the launch of the Peptide-132 damage repair collection, entering the haircare line.
This expansion reflects the brand’s ambition to translate its dermatological expertise from skin to scalp, tapping into the growing “skinification of hair” trend that treats haircare with the same precision and care as skincare.
The three-step collection, comprising a shampoo, treatment, and oil serum, is powered by COSRX’s patented PEPTIDE-132 (Tripeptide-132 HCl), a proprietary molecule engineered to penetrate deep into the hair shaft and repair damaged keratin structures from within.
The peptide is developed using advanced 3D laser scanning and molecular modelling and is designed to reinforce internal hair structure, reduce breakage, and restore shine and elasticity, even after a single use.
A CosRx spokesperson stated, “We didn’t want to create just another haircare line. We wanted to apply our expertise in skin science to the scalp and hair.”
“Peptide-132 is the result of over two years of research and development, and it represents our commitment to creating truly functional, transformative products.”
According to COSRX, the line offers a “hair salon at home” experience, delivering professional-grade results while remaining gentle and pH-balanced for a wide range of hair types.
In a similar move, Typology has entered the haircare market with a science-driven, minimalist approach, extending its expertise in clean beauty to scalp and hair treatments.
Typology’s collection includes fortifying shampoos, scalp scrubs, nourishing masks, and targeted treatments, all enriched with active ingredients designed to purify, strengthen, and repair the hair fibre.
Recently, Cosrx launched the Ceramide Skin Barrier Moisturizer, a new blemish-care remedy.
The product is designed to reinforce the skin’s protective barrier while providing intense hydration and calming irritation, including sensitivity and breakouts linked to a weakened barrier.
It contains ceramides, hyaluronic acid, and panthenol, key ingredients known for their skin-repairing and hydrating properties.
The moisturizer also features K-Gliding Texture technology, which enables it to spread smoothly across the skin for easy application.
