Univar Solutions appoints Robert Craycraft as CEO of Chemical Distribution & Services Division

Craycraft has over 30 years of industry experience, having held executive roles across several chemical distribution and services firms.

USA – Univar Solutions has announced the appointment of Robert Craycraft as Chief Executive Officer of its Chemical Distribution & Services Division, effective August 4, 2025.

According to the company, Craycraft will be entrusted with overseeing the strategic and operational leadership of a key division that plays a vital role in supporting essential industries.

In addition, Craycraft will guide the development and delivery of core chemical solutions and specialized services, upholding the division’s commitment to safety standards, customer-centric service, and deep technical knowledge.

David Jukes, President and CEO of Univar Solution, stated, “His ability to lead across indirect, digital, and field sales channels whilst building robust salesforce management practices will be very important as we pursue new growth opportunities and strengthen existing relationships.”

Craycraft has over 30 years of industry experience, having held executive roles across several chemical distribution and services firms.

His career spans leadership at Cadence Group, BearCom, BakerCorp, and Safety-Kleen—all private equity-backed enterprises.

Craycraft began his professional journey at Ashland and spent nearly two decades managing multiple business units within Valvoline.

Meanwhile, Univar Solutions recently received a Gold rating from EcoVadis, placing it among the top 2% of companies assessed in the chemical distribution sector.

This recognition aligns with its broader environmental, social, and governance (ESG) strategy, which focuses on reducing climate and social impacts through its business operations.

In late 2023, the company introduced a new emissions reduction plan that included setting its first Scope 3 emissions intensity target.

It also launched EcoScope, a supplier engagement program designed to help reduce upstream and downstream emissions across its supply chain.

To support this initiative, Univar Solutions became a member of the Together for Sustainability (TFS) group in April, joining over 50 chemical companies working to improve supply chain sustainability.

This partnership is expected to facilitate data sharing, enhance transparency, and contribute to meeting the company’s long-term climate goals.

According to Alexa Colin, Univar Solutions’ general counsel and ESG lead, the company had already cut its global Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 19.9% from its baseline by the end of 2023.

Its new target aims for a 15% reduction in Scope 3 emissions intensity by 2030, forming part of a broader strategy to reach net-zero emissions by 2050.
