USA – Aptar Beauty has partnered with the French luxury skincare brand Clarins to launch the ninth generation of their iconic Double Serum.
This collaboration combines Aptar’s expertise in advanced packaging engineering with Clarins’ celebrated skincare science to create a product that revolutionizes both its formula and delivery system.
The ninth Double Serum features a patented dual-chamber bottle design, which carefully separates a hydric (water-based) serum suspended inside an outer lipidic (oil-based) serum chamber.
This innovative structure ensures that the two formulas stay fresh and compelling until the moment of application.
The dosing system is designed to be adjustable and progressive, allowing users to dispense either a small drop or a more intense shot of serum by simply twisting the actuator.
In addition, turning the actuator in the opposite direction locks the bottle, enhancing convenience and minimizing product waste.

Sustainability was a key priority in the design of the new packaging.
The bottle is composed of 94% recyclable materials and contains 24% recycled PET content, with ABS plastic replaced by PET.
Moreover, 85% of the overall product weight includes recycled PET. The manufacturing process took place across several sites and used custom moulds to ensure consistent quality, even with the use of recycled materials.
The serum’s formula has also been significantly enhanced, incorporating 27 ingredients, including 22 plant extracts and five new pure active compounds.
It features Clarins’ innovative Epi-Ageing Defence Technology, developed through years of epigenetic research, which targets skin ageing caused by lifestyle and environmental factors.
According to consumer testing on a multi-ethnic panel, after four weeks of use, the serum reduces wrinkles by 21%, improves skin firmness by 32%, boosts radiance by 54%, and decreases pore visibility by 25%.
The launch was celebrated with a high-profile event in Austin, Texas, attended by celebrities and influencers, and featuring a spectacular drone light show that highlighted the importance of this partnership and the significance of the product for both Clarins and the beauty industry as a whole.
