Aptar Beauty unveils full-plastic trigger spray pump for home care market

Aptar Beauty’s new TSP is constructed entirely from polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE), including a PP spring.

FRANCE – Aptar Beauty has launched a new full-plastic trigger spray pump (TSP) designed for the home care market, focusing on sustainability and user experience.

The pump, made entirely from polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE), including a PP spring, is built for high recyclability within the polyolefin stream, ensuring it meets eco-friendly packaging demands.

The TSP delivers a 1.2cc dosage, ideal for applications like surface cleaning and stain removal. Its lightweight design and low actuation force provide a smooth, gentle spray, enhancing user comfort.

According to the company, the pump’s spring avoids contact with the product, ensuring compatibility with corrosive cleaning formulas.

Customization is a key feature, with options for various nozzles offering spray/stream or spray/foam patterns, as well as different neck finishes.

Safety enhancements, such as a ratchet neck finish, child-resistant feature, or clip, add further security.

Luigi Garofalo, Aptar Beauty’s global category director for personal care and home care, stated, “TSP is a strategic addition to our dispensing portfolio, prioritizing performance and recyclability.”

The global trigger market is expanding, driven by demand in surface care and stain removal, particularly in Asia and Latin America.

This launch enriches Aptar Beauty’s portfolio, addressing the rising need for sustainable solutions in these regions.

In related news, recent industry updates highlight similar efforts in sustainable packaging.

For instance, a collaboration between Amcor and Mediacor introduced a recyclable spouted stand-up pouch for liquid products, reducing plastic use by up to 80% and cutting carbon emissions by up to 64% compared to traditional PET bottles.

This innovation, launched in Europe, complements the growing trend of eco-conscious packaging solutions for home care products.

Aptar Beauty’s TSP stands out for its focus on recyclability without compromising functionality. The pump’s design caters to evolving consumer preferences for convenience and environmental responsibility.

With the home care market prioritizing sustainable options, this product is a timely addition to the industry’s shift toward greener packaging.

The TSP is now available, offering brands a versatile, high-performance solution to meet both market demands and sustainability goals.
