USA – Debut, a biotech beauty company based in San Diego, has secured a USD 20 million investment to accelerate the expansion of its proprietary AI-powered ingredient discovery platform, focusing on skin longevity innovation.
This funding aims to advance the discovery of next-generation skincare ingredients that target the 14 hallmarks of ageing, allowing Debut to support global beauty brands by providing high-performance biotech ingredients and scalable formulation outsourcing without heavy R&D costs.

The company’s AI platform has demonstrated superior predictive accuracy with 99% data consistency, surpassing publicly available datasets, enabling it to screen over 50 billion ingredients, especially exploring unknown molecules with the potential to optimize skin health.
Debut plans to scale its formulation business in the US and expand into the Asian market, starting with Singapore, which is recognised for its advanced skincare innovations.
They intend to partner with leading brands to create custom formulations that leverage AI and skin biology insights, tailored for different geographies.
This funding round was led by investors including Fine Structure Ventures, EDBI, Wealthberry, BOLD (L’Oréal’s venture fund), GS Futures, Sandbox Industries, and Material Impact.
