Inolex appoints Miao Wang as new VP to drive sustainable ingredient development

Wang’s role is seen as a critical catalyst for Inolex at a time when the company is intensifying its focus on sustainable, safe, and high-performing ingredient solutions.

USA – Inolex has appointed Miao Wang, a seasoned veteran from L’Oréal and Dow Chemical, as its new Vice President of Research, Development, and Commercialization, marking a significant step in the company’s commitment to advancing green chemistry innovation. 

According to the company, Wang will focus on advancing Inolex’s green chemistry platform and accelerating the development of next-generation sustainable ingredient technologies for the global beauty and personal care industry.

Art Knox, President of Inolex, highlighted Wang’s talent for creating great innovation, stating, “Miao is a highly accomplished scientist and strategic business leader with a keen ability to bring bold, transformative projects to life.” 

“She has a talent for building a strong R&D pipeline, from ideation through end-to-end product development, and for creating an innovation roadmap that accelerates speed-to-market.”

Wang brings a notable track record of innovation and strategic leadership, having driven high-impact projects that combine sustainability with performance. 

At L’Oréal, she spearheaded decarbonization efforts and developed resilient feedstock supply strategies, while also managing the U.S. ingredients innovation team, which was responsible for disruptive technologies that supported global product launches.

 Her expertise in identifying market white spaces and capitalizing on them positions her to lead Inolex’s R&D pipeline, guiding projects from conception through to end-to-end product development with an emphasis on accelerating time to market.

This appointment supports Inolex’s vision to lead sustainability in the personal care sector by adhering to the Principles of Green Chemistry and delivering innovative ingredients that meet rising consumer expectations for responsible beauty.
