Univar Solutions strengthens Brazilian footprint with new Calumet partnership

BRAZIL – Univar Solutions has announced a significant expansion of its partnership with Calumet Refining, LLC to exclusively distribute Calumet’s innovative Versagel® brand ingredients in Brazil’s rapidly growing beauty and personal care market. 

Versagel® technology is a patented system designed for thickening and gelling that enhances product quality and efficacy while providing additional benefits such as improved hydration through a film barrier, various viscosity options, fragrance retention, and waterproofing properties.

Univar Solutions Brasil Ltda., a subsidiary of Univar Solutions LLC, highlights that this partnership expansion not only strengthens the collaboration between Univar’s Ingredients + Specialities division and Calumet but also reflects a shared commitment to delivering innovative, impactful, and sustainable solutions to its customers.

Univar Solutions recently entered into an exclusive distribution partnership with Best Value Chem to enhance its personal care offerings, particularly in Brazil’s robust sun protection market, which is the third-largest globally. 

Through this collaboration, Univar Solutions Brasil Ltda. gains exclusive rights to distribute Best Value Chem’s sunscreen ingredients in Brazil. 

This partnership enables local producers to access high-efficacy ultraviolet (UV) filters such as Best Value Chem’s advanced UV defence solution, BVSUN®.
