Eurofragance unveils sustainable fragrance ingredient at Beautyworld Middle East

Eurofragance’s development process involved an extensive two-year collaboration with olive growers and waste management engineers to identify the ideal olive variety offering the best aromatic profile.

UAE – Eurofragance is set to launch Olivante®, its fourth proprietary perfumery ingredient, at Beautyworld Middle East in Dubai on October 27, 2025.

This innovative raw material brings a sense of caring opulence to fine fragrances, personal care, and air care products.

Olivante® is created through a 100% natural upcycling process that transforms discarded olive pulp from a specific terroir in Spain into a unique and sustainable fragrance ingredient.

Eurofragance crafted Olivante® to deliver the rich, opulent notes highly valued in Gulf-region perfumes, especially those featuring phenolic and animalic tones reminiscent of castoreum, commonly found in mukhallat-style compositions.

Global Marketing Director at Eurofragrance, Sine Guçetil stated, “Olivante® stands out for its ability to offer perfume richness, or opulence, in a manner that is fresher and less heavy.  And, it’s not just intended for fine fragrances.”

“Our initial trials formulating personal care and home fragrancing products with Olivante® are promising and we feel that this a proprietary ingredient with strong potential for broader market adoption.”

However, it is also versatile enough to enhance Western-style perfumes by enriching fruity notes, intensifying gourmand nuances, and amplifying certain white floral accords.

Despite being derived from olive residues, Olivante® is free from any oily scent, making it an outstanding ingredient for diverse olfactory creations.

The company then applied a multi-stage, eco-friendly purification technique to extract the essential odorant molecules and create Olivante®, which is currently patent-pending.

The name Olivante® honours the Mediterranean heritage of the olive tree’s Levantine origins, connecting historical legacy with modern fragrance innovation.

According to Eurofragance’s Master Perfumer Belén Garcia, Olivante® caters to an evolving consumer palate that increasingly appreciates Middle Eastern fragrance elements worldwide.

Olivante® thus offers perfumers and brands a novel, natural ingredient with a compelling story of sustainability and Mediterranean authenticity.

Meanwhile, Eurofragrance recently announced a €10 million (USD 11.4 million) investment to expand its manufacturing plant in Rubí, Barcelona, reinforcing its commitment to technological innovation, sustainability, and operational efficiency.

The company’s expansion, featuring new facilities and advanced dosing robots, will triple its production capacity, enabling it to meet the rising demand across Europe, Africa, Turkey, and the Middle East.

According to the company, the Rubí site now contributes to 50% of Eurofragance’s global annual production, solidifying its role as a major manufacturing hub for the fragrance house.

The investment also enhances manufacturing capabilities beyond fine perfumery, supporting personal care and home care categories that require higher production volumes.
