INDIA – Sephora has launched its second store in Punjab at Nexus Mall in Amritsar, offering a high-end, immersive beauty shopping experience to customers in the city.
This new boutique, situated on the ground floor of Nexus Mall, offers a comprehensive selection of products, including cosmetics, skincare, fragrances, and haircare, from both international prestige brands and emerging labels.
This expansion follows Sephora’s first store in Punjab, located at MBD Mall Ludhiana, which opened earlier this year after being acquired by Nexus Select City.
The Amritsar store not only enhances Sephora’s footprint in India but also aligns with its broader growth plans to venture beyond major metro areas into tier-II cities and travel retail zones.
With more than 25 stores across India and over 2,700 outlets worldwide in more than 35 countries, Sephora continues to grow rapidly.
The new Amritsar store exemplifies Sephora’s intent to provide a premium and personalized shopping environment that caters to the evolving preferences of local consumers.
The boutique aims to serve as a one-stop destination for beauty enthusiasts, offering access to international and niche brands in a contemporary setting.
The launch comes when the beauty and cosmetics market in India is undergoing a dynamic transformation—driven by rising disposable incomes, digital-first consumer behavior, and a growing appetite for clean, inclusive, and personalized beauty.
According to a report by Statista, India’s beauty and personal care market is projected to grow from approximately USD 20 billion in 2023 to USD 34 billion by 2028, reflecting a CAGR of over 10% and positioning it among the fastest-growing global markets.
Meanwhile, Sephora recently announced its plans to expand its UK presence by opening its first store in Yorkshire, Meadowhall, Sheffield, in the summer of 2025.
This upcoming launch will mark Sephora’s first store in Yorkshire and its ninth in the UK.
The new store will include Sephora’s Beauty Hub, offering bookable professional beauty services, including makeup, skincare treatments, hair styling, and brow services.
The new Meadowhall store will offer an extensive range of exclusive beauty brands, including Makeup by Mario, Haus Labs by Lady Gaga, Tarte Cosmetics, and the Sephora Collection.
