INDIA – Essence Cosmetics has officially entered the Indian market through a new exclusive distribution partnership with Reliance Retail Limited, one of India’s largest retail companies.
This collaboration marks the introduction of the German-based cosmetics brand Essence, known as Europe’s top cosmetics brand by units sold, into a rapidly growing and vibrant beauty market.
Reliance Retail will serve as the official distributor of Essence in India, leveraging its integrated omnichannel network to make Essence products widely available nationwide.
This includes sales through online platforms, Reliance’s dedicated beauty stores, and partner retail formats.
Essence is celebrated for its cruelty-free, 100% vegan colour cosmetics that are made with eco-conscious formulations free of microplastic particles.
Over 80% of its products are manufactured in Europe under stringent quality standards. The brand carries a youthful, fun, and inclusive aesthetic that encourages creative self-expression through makeup experimentation.
Reliance Retail’s partnership aims to amplify this ethos by bringing Essence’s portfolio of affordable, high-quality products to Indian consumers, reflecting its commitment to blending fun, inclusivity, and sustainability in the beauty offerings available in India.

Meanwhile, Green Goose Design (GGD) recently partnered with Reliance Retail to develop the complete visual identity for Puraveda, a newly launched premium Ayurvedic beauty and wellness brand.
This collaboration is focused on creating a sustainable, Ayurveda-inspired brand identity that bridges India’s ancient wellness traditions with contemporary design aesthetics.
GGD played a pivotal role in the brand-building process across all consumer touchpoints, including naming the brand, designing its crest logo, and creating bespoke pastel-hued packaging.
