Amcor expands personal care portfolio with new roll-on deodorant packaging

The pack showcases Amcor’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and customization, positioning it as a versatile and eco-conscious packaging solution that meets contemporary personal care market demands.

SWITZERLAND – Amcor has expanded its personal care packaging range with the launch of the Shadow roll-on deodorant, a lightweight and highly customizable packaging solution designed to meet evolving consumer and brand demands.

The Shadow roll-on is among the lightest in Amcor’s portfolio, thanks to significantly reduced plastic use in its production.

Both the bottle and cap incorporate up to 60% post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic and are designed to be recycle-ready, supporting sustainability goals without compromising on durability or functionality.

This innovative roll-on features a distinctive, rounded base, which enhances shelf presence and visibility, making it an appealing choice for brands seeking to stand out in crowded retail environments.

Amcor offers extensive customization options, including a broad palette of colours and ample labelling space, allowing brands to tailor the look to their specific branding requirements.

Functionality-wise, the Shadow roll-on combines ease of use for consumers with a robust structure that prevents leaks and ensures product protection.

The packaging is available in various sizes to cater to diverse market needs, with Amcor offering nearly 40 deodorant packaging solutions spanning sticks and roll-ons from 10 mL to 100 mL.

Lara Alemany, product line director of Amcor Global Rigids Packaging Solutions, stated,  “Packaging solutions for the beauty sector must balance aesthetics, functionality, and improved sustainability.”

“The Shadow roll-on demonstrates our expertise in developing robust solutions that can be easily adapted in line with the latest consumer trends.”

Amcor’s global manufacturing footprint enables it to efficiently supply both large and small orders, with particular support for the European market.

This launch aligns with Amcor’s broader strategy of developing responsible packaging solutions across the nutrition, health, beauty, and wellness industries.

This is demonstrated by recent collaborations, such as the recyclable refill technology for the French hair care brand Cut by Fred and a partnership with Maison Guerlain on luxury hand cream packaging made with PCR materials.

This refillable packaging innovation uses a mono-material construction made entirely from polypropylene (PP), allowing the stick and its refill to be recyclable where facilities exist.

The original 75 mL container weighs 55 grams, while each refill weighs just 18 grams, delivering substantial material savings aligned with sustainability goals and EU packaging regulations.
