Bellazuri expands African footprint with launch in Rwanda

The brand’s launch in Rwanda underscores its commitment to inclusivity, accessibility, and authenticity, to become a leading force in the African beauty industry.​

RWANDA – Bellazuri, a Ugandan cosmetic brand, has launched in Rwanda with a high-profile event at The Retreat in Kiyovu, Kigali. 

The launch marks the brand’s strategic expansion into Rwanda as part of its broader mission to provide affordable, high-quality skincare and cosmetics explicitly tailored for African skin types.​

The official launch at The Retreat in Kiyovu brought together industry professionals, brand ambassadors, and beauty enthusiasts to celebrate Bellazuri’s entry into the Rwandan market. 

Cynthia Uwineza, Bellazuri’s brand ambassador in Rwanda, emphasized that the brand fills a critical gap by offering products specifically formulated for African skin, avoiding harmful chemicals commonly found in cheaper alternatives.​

Bellazuri Cosmetics introduces a range of skincare and makeup products crafted from natural ingredients and enhanced with advanced technology, promising visible, long-lasting results. 

The brand’s products are now available through Peniel Wholesale Ltd, the exclusive distributor, ensuring wide accessibility across Rwanda via carefully selected stores, the brand’s head office, and online platforms such as Instagram and WhatsApp. 

According to the brand, delivery services are also available for customers throughout Rwanda and neighboring countries.​

Bellazuri’s expansion into Rwanda is part of its rapid growth strategy across Africa and beyond, with existing presence in Uganda, Kenya, Ghana, Nigeria, Congo, Egypt, Ethiopia, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Guinea, Colombia, and the United States. 

The company’s vision is to become one of the top three brands developing and producing products for African skin within the next five years. 

The launch event also highlighted Bellazuri’s dedication to empowering local businesses and strengthening distribution networks through its partnerships.​

This launch positions Bellazuri Cosmetics as a significant player in Rwanda’s growing beauty sector, promising accessible, inclusive, and high-quality products for African consumers.​

Bellazuri Cosmetics, co-founded by René and Guiliano Stiegelmann in Uganda, combines advanced German technology with African expertise to develop safe, non-toxic beauty products that address the unique needs of African consumers. 

The Introduction comes at a time when Rwanda’s cosmetics market is undergoing a dynamic transformation, shaped by rising consumer demand for affordable yet sustainable beauty solutions.

According to Statista, the cosmetics market in Rwanda is valued at about USD 74.9 million in 2025, with steady growth projected at a CAGR of 4.6% through 2030.
