INDIA – Amway India Enterprises, the wholly owned subsidiary of US-based Alticor Global Holdings Inc., posted a net loss of ₹74.25 crore(USD 8.94 million) for FY25 ending March 31, 2025.
This performance marks a significant widening from the ₹53.38 crore (USD 6.43 million) loss in FY24, as per filings analyzed through Tofler.
Amway spokesperson stated, “India continues to be a strategically important market for Amway globally, and that is reflected in the recent investment announcements focused on expanding our physical presence, strengthening distributor capabilities and elevating customer experiences, thus reinforcing our commitment, long-term vision and confidence in the market’s growth potential.”
Revenue from operations contracted 10.56% to ₹1,148.16 crore(USD 138.34 million) from ₹1,283.75 crore the prior year, while total income, including other sources, fell 9.2% to ₹1,174.85 crore(USD 154.68 million), accompanied by a 7.3% drop in total expenses to ₹1,249.10 crore(USD 150.49 million).
All major segments reflected declines: Nutrition and Wellness revenue decreased 10% to ₹703.58 crore(USD 84.82 million), Personal Care, the second-largest, slid 13.6% to ₹189.22 crore(USD 22.80 million), Home Care eased 2.65% to ₹120.29 crore(USD 14.49 million), and Beauty contracted 12% to ₹96.59 crore(USD 11.64 million).
Efforts to curb costs included slashing advertising and sales promotion spending by 40.6% to ₹36.20 crore(USD 4.36 million), reducing royalty payments to the parent firm by 15.7% to ₹55.43 crore(USD 6.68 million), and trimming payments to sole selling agents by 2.73% to ₹366.91 crore(USD 44.21 million) from ₹377.22 crore(USD 45.47 million).
India ranks among Amway’s top 10 global markets, with aspirations to break into the top five despite sluggish growth in the direct selling industry over the past two years.
