SWITZERLAND – Solabia Group, a French biotechnology leader in active ingredients for health and beauty, has agreed to acquire Mibelle Biochemistry from Persán, the Spanish home and personal care multinational.
This deal merges two innovators in natural, high-performance biotech solutions for cosmetics, nutraceuticals, and food, creating a global powerhouse with enhanced R&D and market reach.
The acquisition is awaiting final closure, though the terms remain confidential. Persán, which acquired the full Mibelle Group from retailer Migros in 2025, is selling this specialized unit to refocus on core consumer goods operations.
According to the companies, clients benefit from a broader, science-backed range of natural solutions tailored to skin rejuvenation, healthy aging, and beyond.
Solabia CEO Jean-Baptiste Dellon stated, “We are very excited to welcome Mibelle Biochemistry’s expert teams to Solabia. Mibelle Biochemistry is a company we have long admired for its scientific rigour, innovative spirit, and pioneering work.”
“Together, we will accelerate innovation, expand our global reach, and deliver even stronger value to a larger customer base seeking differentiated, science‑backed solutions for beauty and wellbeing.”
Mibelle Biochemistry, a Swiss pioneer with over 30 years in plant stem cell biotech, offers advanced actives for skin care, anti-ageing, hair health, cognitive support, and sustainable formulations distributed in 50+ countries.
Solabia specializes in biotech-derived, eco-friendly ingredients meeting rising demands in beauty and wellness worldwide.
The addition of Mibelle’s expertise in plant-based innovations complements Solabia’s portfolio, ensuring seamless continuity for customers while upholding Swiss quality benchmarks.
In November last year, Mibelle Biochemistry unveiled SenoCellTec™, an innovative plant-based active ingredient designed to combat skin ageing.
According to the company, this product targets and removes senescent, or “zombie,” skin cells while simultaneously activating the skin’s stem cells to promote renewal and regeneration.
In addition, Mibelle launched LunaRose™, a skincare product offering overnight skin rejuvenation.
According to the company, this product is obtained from organic rose hips from a rare Finnish rose variety.
LunaRose™ is designed to replicate melatonin-like effects, supporting the skin’s natural repair cycle while providing intensive nourishment and rejuvenation overnight.
