Goonite Hygiene extends sanitary wellness initiative to Caleb International School in Lagos

Students received Besense pads along with gifts like chocolates, teddy bears, water flasks, and school bags, sparking joy and gratitude.

NIGERIA – Goonite Hygiene, a leading hygiene products manufacturer in Nigeria, has organised a meaningful sanitary wellness outreach at Caleb International School in Magodo, Lagos, to empower students with menstrual health education and essential products.

The program delivers sanitary pads, gifts, and workshops to spark open talks on menstrual hygiene, reducing stigma and boosting girls’ confidence.

It emphasizes quality products, supporting school attendance and well-being under the theme “Healthy Beginning, Happy Future.”

The Chief Executive Officer, Robby Yang, launched the event under the banner “Healthy Beginning, Happy Future,” explaining that wellness involves not just physical protection but also emotional confidence and body awareness, captured in the “Make Sense with Besense” motto.

Managing Director John Jiang followed, emphasizing education’s role in boosting school attendance, performance, and girls’ dignity through access to premium menstrual products made with globally sourced materials under strict quality controls.

These two flagship lines reflect the company’s mission to provide affordable, high-quality solutions for personal and family care, emphasizing comfort, safety, and accessibility across Nigeria’s consumer base.

The event extended to Ojuwoye Market in Mushin, Lagos, for a dynamic activation featuring product sampling, education, and conversations that drew traders and shoppers.

The dual-phase outreach, from school classrooms to market vibrancy, fostered open dialogues on hygiene, restored confidence, and reinforced Goonite Hygiene’s mission to deliver consumer-focused products for healthier, happier lives across Nigeria.

Goonite Hygiene offers a focused portfolio of essential hygiene products, primarily Besense sanitary pads for women and Lebrace baby diapers for infants.

Nigeria’s feminine hygiene products market is expanding rapidly, valued at about USD 147 million in 2024 and projected to reach USD 238.9 million by 2033, growing at a CAGR of roughly 5.5–7.8% across segments, according to a report by Strategy Helix Group.

In other news, Nigeria advances hygiene and wellness through targeted WASH programs, with Reckitt and Dettol leading private efforts amid ongoing sanitation hurdles.

The Federal Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation prioritized WASH in 2025, including workshops on hand hygiene in Cross River State to combat diarrhea and respiratory infections, and menstrual health training in Jigawa State to support adolescent girls’ well-being.

In addition, early this month, Cross River State launched its first comprehensive WASH policy with partners like Self Help Africa, addressing gaps where 41% lack toilets and few schools have basic services.
