Crown Paints Kenya and Mabati Rolling Mills launch joint promotion for homebuilders

This integration ensures that developers can access a high-specification, end-to-end building experience that meets modern construction standards.

KENYA – Crown Paints Kenya PLC and Mabati Rolling Mills (MRM), a prominent member of the Safal Group, have launched a strategic partnership to provide an integrated, value-added solution for the Kenyan construction sector.

By aligning their expertise in high-end roofing and premium finishing, the two companies are offering homeowners a streamlined pathway to complete their building projects with greater financial ease and structural quality.

The core of this two-month promotional initiative is that customers who purchase Lifestile stone-coated roofing tiles worth at least KSh 550,000 receive a KSh 50,000 voucher redeemable for Crown Paints products.

This incentive can be utilized at any authorized Crown Paints showroom, significantly reducing the cost burden for developers looking to invest in high-quality aesthetic finishes.

Kelvin Munyi, Group Marketing Manager at Crown Paints, explained that the collaboration is rooted in the vision of creating healthier and more beautiful living environments by increasing the accessibility of eco-friendly, premium paint systems.

He emphasized that the partnership rewards the loyalty of customers while ensuring that homebuilders do not have to compromise on the quality or sustainability of their materials.

Complementing this, Geoff Anthony, Head of Sales for Building Solutions & Steel at MRM, noted that the alliance merges MRM’s durable, architecturally advanced roofing solutions with the sophisticated finish of the Crown Paints range.

Customers can apply their vouchers toward a variety of specialized, low-VOC products, including Crown Aqua Glow, Crown Silk Vinyl, Crown Ultraguard Silicone, and Crown Rain Protek.

Meanwhile, Crown Paints (K) PLC recently reached a significant milestone in its digital transformation strategy by achieving the globally recognized ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certification.

Awarded by Certi-Trust, this certification serves as a formal verification of the company’s Information Security Management System (ISMS), highlighting its robust dedication to data protection, risk management, and global governance standards.

The certification process provides a structured, internationally accepted framework for identifying and mitigating evolving cyber threats.

By embedding these advanced security practices, Crown Paints aims to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical information across its East African operations, thereby fostering greater trust among its stakeholders and business partners.

Mustafa Tuura, Group Chief Executive Officer of Crown Paints, noted that this achievement underscores the company’s commitment to safeguarding the information entrusted to it, especially as it continues to expand its regional footprint.

Beyond regulatory compliance, such as adhering to Kenya’s Data Protection Act (2019), the certification embeds a culture of security throughout the organization, positioning the firm as a forward-looking leader in the manufacturing sector.
