Brenntag partners with Shinehigh to distribute skincare actives across Europe

EUROPE – Brenntag Specialities has entered into an exclusive global distribution agreement with Shinehigh, establishing Brenntag as the sole distribution partner for Shinehigh’s groundbreaking Supramolecular technology in the Beauty & Personal Care sector across Europe.

This strategic partnership brings Nobel Prize-winning Supramolecular technology to European beauty markets, addressing critical industry challenges, including poor active ingredient penetration, instability, and weak collaboration that have long plagued traditional cosmetic formulations.

Under this agreement, Brenntag Specialities will distribute Shinehigh’s functional active ingredients utilizing its global network of Innovation & Application Centres, strengthening its portfolio with ingredients that deliver high penetration, high efficacy, and high stability.

Shinehigh’s innovative Supramolecular AI R&D Center platform engineers active ingredients at the molecular level through scientific calibration, enabling ingredients to transform with synergistic precision for enhanced skincare benefits. 

The company’s core technological foundation is its Supramolecular Intelligent Self-Assembly Platform, complemented by its self-developed Synthrix™ AI Supramolecular R&D Platform, which enables precision molecular design and high-throughput screening. 

This technology enables faster and deeper penetration of active ingredients into the skin, delivering enhanced hydration, anti-aging efficacy, and improved radiance with clinically measurable, visible results validated through both in vivo and in vitro efficacy testing.

In a similar move, Brenntag has expanded its partnership with Nouryon into Brazil, becoming the distributor of Bermocoll® cellulose ethers for the coatings and inks market. 

The agreement focuses on products that help control consistency and viscosity, and it builds on prior successful collaborations in North America.

Bermocoll® is a family of non-ionic, water-soluble cellulose ethers used as performance enhancers, thickeners and stabilizers across industrial applications. 

In this case, Brenntag will supply products to the paints, coatings, and inks segment in Brazil, where they support flow control, viscosity management, and broader material performance.

The agreement deepens Brenntag’s relationship with Nouryon and extends that relationship into Latin America.
