AptarGroup introduces NeoDropper Autoload to automate liquid dosing

This move marks the first commercial deployment of its next-generation auto-loading dropper technology for prestige skincare and dermocosmetic applications.

USA – AptarGroup, a global leader in dose-optimized, hygiene-forward packaging technologies, has officially commissioned its NeoDropper Autoload system.

The launch debut occurs on Dermalogica’s FutureCode Booster, an advanced DNA-repair serum, signalling a strategic alignment between high-performance formulation science and engineered dispensing precision.

NeoDropper Autoload replaces the conventional rubber-bulb dropper architecture with a sealed, twist-and-push actuation mechanism that automatically reloads a 0.35 cc dose upon each reclosure of the cap. 

Its short, rigid applicator, paired with an internal dip tube reaching the bottle base, delivers up to 95% product restitution, minimizes microbial ingress, and eliminates leakage even under inversion. 

Rigorous microbiological validation confirms the system harbours four times fewer microbes than standard droppers, addressing a critical consumer priority: 70% of skincare users cite packaging hygiene as a repurchase determinant.

Designed for integration into premium glass bottles (30 ml, 20/400 neck finish), the system supports extensive brand customization, including metallization, silk-screening, and lacquering of the actuator, collar, and cap, while maintaining compatibility with existing glass recycling streams where infrastructure permits. 

Regional availability spans Asia, North America, Latin America, and EMEA.

The technology responds to accelerating demand for clinical-grade skincare, where potent actives require dosing fidelity, formula protection, and user-centric ergonomics. 

Dermalogica’s Packaging Engineering Manager, Manuela DeForge, noted “FutureCode Booster has been positively received by consumers, particularly for its dispensing performance, ease of use, and overall user experience.”

This rollout extends Aptar’s innovation trajectory in dropper systems, following the 2025 introduction of NeoDropper Classic and reinforcing its commitment to advancing precision, sustainability, and brand differentiation in the global beauty packaging sector.

The launch comes shortly after Aptar Beauty recently began U.S. production of its AAT Vertical Slider Aerosol Valve at its Cary, Illinois, facility. 

The valve is engineered to reliably dispense complex, particle-rich formulations in pressurized packaging, producing a smooth, consistent spray that improves the end-user experience while shortening lead times and accelerating speed to market. 

Its 3.5-mm straight-shank stem design addresses common clogging issues found in conventional valves, where stem-gasket flexing during actuation can trap powder between the gasket and stem, causing build-up, inconsistent performance, blockages, propellant leakage and reduced product evacuation.
