The material is described as both soft and sturdy, and it gives the pack a look and texture that helps it stand out on the shelf.

TURKEY – Korozo Group, Drylock Technologies, and Colruyt have teamed up on a recyclable nonwoven diaper-packaging solution designed to feel as soft as the product inside.
The packaging is already used for Drylock diaper products sold in Colruyt stores, and early consumer reactions have reportedly been positive, particularly regarding its appearance, practicality, and sustainability.
Korozo Group CMGO Selin Bahar Meşulam stated, “We see this as the start of a bold new era for packaging, one where packs are an active part of the consumer experience, not just a passive vessel for a product.”
“Our mission to Deliver Sustainability, Pack by Pack, means we’re always looking to explore new ideas and develop value-adding innovations for customers and consumers.
Selin added, “And this is just the latest step in our journey of sustainable innovation as we continue to deliver forward-thinking solutions for our partners around the world.”
The new nonwoven material was showcased alongside other flexible packaging products at its booth at the INDEX Exhibition in Geneva from 19 to 22 May 2026, where visitors can meet the team directly.
This development follows Drylock’s earlier sustainability work with Mondi in 2020, when the company introduced a paper-based, recyclable diaper bag using Mondi’s EcoWicketBag to cut CO2 emissions and rely more on renewable materials without compromising protection or shelf appeal.
In the years since, other nonwoven innovations have emerged, including Freudenberg Performance Materials’ customizable fine denier spunbond materials for uses such as desiccant bags and coating substrates, as well as biodegradation formulations tested in diaper applications.
Korozo Group is a leading Turkish packaging manufacturer, recognized as one of Europe’s largest producers of flexible packaging solutions for food, hygiene, and industrial sectors.
Drylock Technologies, headquartered in Belgium, specializes in hygiene products such as baby diapers, feminine care, and adult incontinence items, and is known for its innovation in absorbent technologies and commitment to sustainable packaging.
Colruyt Group, also based in Belgium, is a major retail chain operating supermarkets and other outlets across Europe, with a strong emphasis on affordability and sustainability.
Together, the three companies combine Korozo’s packaging expertise, Drylock’s product innovation, and Colruyt’s retail reach to introduce recyclable nonwoven diaper packaging as a consumer‑ready, sustainable solution.
