This move comes as the demand for natural, traceable and highly distinctive ingredients is rising in personal care and perfumery, especially in fine fragrance.

FRANCE – Symrise has agreed to acquire the full share capital of Floral Concept, a French premium natural ingredients company for fragrances based in Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne in the Pays de Grasse region.
The proposed deal is a major step in Symrise’s push toward a stronger position in premium natural fragrance ingredients, which are becoming increasingly important in fine perfumery because they help brands stand out.
Customers are increasingly looking for speciality extracts and technology-enabled natural ingredients that deliver unique scent profiles, quality, and authenticity.
Through this acquisition, Symrise expects to offer customers a wider, more differentiated portfolio, opening up more creative options for premium fragrance formulations.
At the same time, the move fits neatly into Symrise’s ONE Symrise strategy and its focus on disciplined capital allocation, portfolio management and long-term profitable growth with strong cash flow.
According to Michael Friede, President of the Scent & Care segment, Floral Concept represents a high-quality growth platform that aligns with Symrise’s strategic priorities.
He said Symrise already has strong experience in naturals for food applications, supported by the 2014 Diana acquisition, and in fragrance naturals through Maison Lautier 1795, and that the company plans to combine those strengths with Floral Concept to build a best-in-class naturals platform in Grasse for fragrances.
He added that the transaction should help Symrise further shift its portfolio toward businesses that are more differentiated, resilient and value-creating.
Floral Concept, founded in 2002, has built its reputation on quality, authenticity and long-term relationships with both producers and customers.
The company sources, selects and transforms natural raw materials into high-value fragrance ingredients, drawing on deep relationships across the supply chain and a strong focus on standards and integrity.
Frédérique Rémy, General Manager of Floral Concept, said Symrise understands naturals, values the Grasse ecosystem and can support the company’s next phase of growth through its global reach and fragrance expertise.
The business offers premium natural fragrance ingredients derived from valued botanicals such as jasmine, rose, orange blossom, ambrette and blackcurrant.
Symrise says combining Floral Concept with Maison Lautier 1795 will create a dedicated naturals cluster that brings together complementary strengths in responsible sourcing, extraction, transformation and fragrance creation.
The company says this will significantly expand its premium naturals capabilities and reinforce its sustainability, traceability and long-term partnership commitments across the value chain.
The parties expect the transaction to close in the third quarter of 2026, subject to employee information requirements and customary closing conditions, and they have agreed to keep the financial terms confidential.
