The products are being rolled out across the United States through mass retailers and drugstores, including Walmart, Target and Amazon.

GERMANY – Aquaphor has introduced the everyday facial and body moisturiser category with the launch of Aquaphor Hydrating Daily Lotion and Aquaphor Moisturizing Cream, marking the brand’s first-ever lotion and cream line.
The new products extend Aquaphor’s more than 100 years of skin-healing expertise beyond its established targeted-care and therapeutic ointment portfolio.
The two moisturisers are designed to provide daily hydration while supporting the skin’s moisture barrier.
Aquaphor Hydrating Daily Lotion offers up to 72 hours of lightweight, breathable hydration, while Aquaphor Moisturizing Cream provides up to 48 hours of richer moisture. Both formulas are fast-absorbing and intended for use on the face and body.
The Hydrating Daily Lotion is formulated for normal-to-dry, sensitive skin and contains a 6% blend of hyaluronic acid, three ceramides, glycerin and Hydra-3 Restore™, a combination of bisabolol, vitamin E and panthenol.
The Moisturizing Cream is intended for dry, sensitive skin and contains a 9% blend of hyaluronic acid, three ceramides, glycerin, shea butter and Hydra-3 Restore™.
According to the company, the formulas combine ingredients associated with Aquaphor’s skin-healing heritage.
Both products have been accepted by the National Eczema Association and are described as hypoallergenic, fragrance-free and non-comedogenic.
They are also free from parabens, silicones and dyes, positioning them for consumers seeking daily moisturisers for sensitive skin.
Clinical testing cited by Aquaphor found that both products produced improvements in skin dryness, moisturisation and roughness within 15 minutes of a single application.
The lotion maintained hydration for up to 72 hours, while the cream maintained moisture for up to 48 hours. The company also reported that the cream improved tactile roughness by 50% after the first application.
Aquaphor is widely associated with its Healing Ointment, a seven-ingredient formula used for dry, cracked and irritated skin, minor cuts, burns, chafing, lips, hands, heels, cuticles and post-procedure care.
The new lotion and cream differ from the ointment by being developed specifically for regular, everyday moisturising rather than targeted protection and intensive repair.
The expansion follows growing consumer interest in products that combine high-performance hydration with lightweight textures.
Aquaphor said an internal study found that 70% of women experience skin sensitivity. The company is positioning the new line as an alternative for consumers who do not want to choose between effective moisturisation and a comfortable, fast-absorbing feel.
“Aquaphor has been known as an ointment for a long time and now we are entering a new era,” said Patricia Popowich, brand director of Aquaphor at Beiersdorf.
She said the products took years to develop and were created to offer lightweight, fast-absorbing skincare for people with normal-to-dry and sensitive skin, including Gen Z and millennial consumers who may experience skin reactivity.
The Aquaphor Hydrating Daily Lotion will be sold in 16-fluid-ounce and 8-fluid-ounce bottles, as well as a 3-fluid-ounce tube. Aquaphor Moisturizing Cream will be available in a 16-ounce jar and 8-ounce and 1.89-ounce tubes.
Aquaphor describes itself as the number-one dermatologist-recommended brand for dry, cracked skin, dry feet and heels, lip care and minor post-cosmetic in-office procedure skincare.
The brand’s new line is part of Beiersdorf’s broader skincare portfolio, which also includes Eucerin, NIVEA, Coppertone, La Prairie and Chantecaille.
Beiersdorf Inc. serves as the North American affiliate of Beiersdorf AG, a company with more than a century of experience developing skincare products.
The consumer findings referenced in the announcement were based on an Aquaphor survey of 2,040 women conducted in December 2025.
The reported clinical findings were based on separate Aquaphor studies involving 30 participants each.
