Mane acquires Cvista to scale natural essence offerings
The acquisition brings Cvista’s citrus processing expertise, facilities and specialized team into Mane’s global flavor and fragrance operations.
USA – France-headquartered flavour and fragrance manufacturer Mane has acquired Florida-based citrus oil fractions and natural essences supplier Cvista, establishing a global Citrus and Beverage Centre of Excellence in the United States.
The new center, located in Riverview, Florida, will combine Cvista’s teams, facilities and expertise with Mane’s capabilities to strengthen the company’s position in citrus and accelerate the development of natural ingredients for flavours and beverages.
“This acquisition is a strategic catalyst for Mane’s growth in citrus, particularly in the beverage sector,” said Samantha Mane, president of Mane Group. “Cvista is a recognized leader with a proven ability to transform natural raw materials into high-value ingredients.”
Cvista specializes in citrus oil processing and the production of high-value natural ingredients for the flavor and fragrance industry.
Its expertise includes purifying trace compounds and isolating molecules found in very small quantities, including valencene, decanal and nootkatone, which are used to create distinctive flavor profiles.
According to Mane, the acquisition will combine the companies’ technological capabilities and specialized know-how while supporting the development of differentiated citrus ingredients and solutions.
The US center will also position Mane closer to key citrus sourcing regions and provide a dedicated global citrus platform.
Cvista’s industrial operations include distillation, extraction, resin-based processing and molecular distillation. The company also has experience sourcing natural raw materials from markets worldwide and transforming specialized ingredients into high-value solutions.
Its Riverview campus includes research and development, pilot-scale, production and warehousing facilities. The site also features an automated manufacturing platform designed to support continuous production of high-purity citrus ingredients.
Analytical laboratories at the campus support quality control and the development of new citrus fractions, while its pilot-scale platform enables the development of tailor-made citrus fractions for customers.
Cvista currently serves approximately 130 customers worldwide, supplying specialized products to the flavor and fragrance industry.
Following the acquisition, Cvista’s team will join Mane, bringing its citrus processing knowledge and experience into the organization.
Mane said the integrated infrastructure at the Riverview site will provide a foundation for developing next-generation citrus ingredients and solutions.
The company will leverage Cvista’s existing facilities and capabilities as part of its global citrus strategy, with the Center of Excellence focused on citrus innovation and beverage applications.
