FRANCE – Inflexion, a prominent European mid-market private equity firm, has announced an agreement to invest in Manucurist, an international nail care brand recognized for its plant-based, non-damaging, and vegan formulations.
The investment will be made through Inflexion’s Enterprise Fund VI and is aimed at accelerating Manucurist’s global expansion, particularly in the U.S.
Gaëlle Lebrat Personnaz, Co-CEO and Founder of Manucurist, said her conviction from the start has been that beauty and nail integrity should never be compromised, which has shaped products and a brand that genuinely care for consumers’ nails.
She noted, “We are proud to have a community of more than 1 million followers, who are our best spokespeople, and this growing community requires more innovation and retail investment from us to meet their needs.”
“In Inflexion, we have found a partner who shares that vision and has a proven record of helping founder-led brands grow internationally. We look forward to working together on the next stage of our journey.”
Founded in 2016 and headquartered in Paris, Manucurist is a French brand that pioneered the at-home LED gel manicure and offers targeted care solutions for all nail types.
Its formulations are up to 84% to 99% plant-based, vegan, cruelty-free, and free from harmful chemicals like TPO.
Manucurist’s product range includes regular green nail polishes, active nail treatment serums (such as Active Smooth and Active Shine), cuticle oils, and at-home LED starter kits.
The brand operates via a global omni-channel distribution model that includes direct-to-consumer sales, retail partnerships, and pharmacy channels, and is currently available in more than 40 countries with a growing footprint in the U.S., the U.K., and across Europe.
Inflexion plans to support Manucurist’s founders and management team as they scale the business internationally, invest in team and systems, and drive new product development to position Manucurist as a global leader across all nail categories.
The deal reinforces Inflexion’s strong track record of backing entrepreneurial consumer and beauty brands.
The firm previously supported the international growth of British skincare brand Medik8, helping it expand across channels and geographies ahead of its sale to L’Oréal, with Inflexion retaining a minority stake to support Medik8’s next growth phase.
During Inflexion’s four-year investment, Medik8 more than quadrupled sales and tripled its headcount.
