Unilever taps Clint Dempsey to headline its personal care portfolio for World Cup 2026

The collaboration aims to inspire confidence and freshness among fans as excitement builds for the tournament.

USA – Unilever has launched an exclusive campaign for the FIFA World Cup 2026, partnering with U.S. Soccer legend Clint Dempsey, an American former professional soccer player, to engage fans with its personal care brands, Dove Men+Care, Degree, and AXE.

Dempsey will serve as the face of the initiative and share his personal insights on how feeling fresh translates to better performance, both on and off the field.

According to Unilever, fans can participate in the campaign by purchasing exclusive Unilever FIFA World Cup 26™ gift packs, which are available at Walmart and select retailers through July 19, 2026.

Each purchase enters participants into a sweepstakes for a chance to win tickets to the World Cup, along with other prizes such as watch party experiences, home entertainment upgrades, and gaming packages.

Clint Dempsey, known for being the first American male player to score in three FIFA World Cups and a father of five, emphasizes that the confidence gained from feeling fresh is a key motivator in both sports and daily life.

He expressed enthusiasm for helping fans experience that same sense of assurance through Unilever’s products.

Unilever’s Head of Sports Marketing & Partnerships, Laura DiMiceli, stated, “We’re proud to partner with Clint Dempsey to bring our brands to people in ways that celebrate that same energy, helping to inspire confidence, freshness and connectivity during the excitement of FIFA World Cup 26 and the everyday moments that matter.”

Unilever’s ongoing sponsorship with FIFA includes men’s, women’s, and esports competitions, and this World Cup 2026 campaign marks a new chapter in their efforts to bring fans closer to the game.

This move comes after  Unilever recently teamed up with World Rugby as the official supporters for several major tournaments, including the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025, Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027, and Women’s Rugby World Cup 2029.

As part of the agreement, Unilever’s Personal Care Power Brands, which include Dove, Dove Men+Care, Rexona (known as Sure), and Axe (also called Lynx), will launch integrated campaigns designed to engage fans and athletes.
