The collaboration extends selected dyes and pigments to home care and industrial customers in Australia and New Zealand.

ASIA – Brenntag has signed an exclusive distribution partnership with India’s Sudarshan Chemical Industries to broaden its speciality colourants and pigments offering for beauty, personal care, home care, and industrial applications across key Asia–Pacific markets.
Under the agreement, Brenntag will exclusively distribute Sudarshan’s cosmetic-grade pigments and speciality colourants in six Southeast Asian markets, including Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam, while also extending selected dyes and pigments to serve home care and industrial and institutional (I&I) customers in Australia and New Zealand.
This arrangement positions Brenntag as the regional gateway for Sudarshan’s colour solutions, enabling local access to a wider palette of shades and effects for formulators in the covered territories.brenntag+3
The portfolio that Brenntag will distribute includes Sumicos cosmetic pigments, Prestige effect pigments, Sumicair speciality colour solutions, Cosmenyl pigment dispersions, and Sanolin dyes, covering organic and inorganic pigments, effect and pearlescent pigments, and dispersions for makeup, skin care, hair care, and other personal care applications.
Wissanee Ruangsorn, Regional President, Beauty and Care, Asia Pacific, stated, “Southeast Asia continues to be a dynamic beauty market, with brands seeking innovative ingredients and formulation support to bring products to market”
“Home care, industrial, and institutional customers in Australia and New Zealand will likewise benefit from access to Sudarshan’s broad range of dyes and pigments.”
Much of this expanded cosmetics-focused portfolio stems from Sudarshan’s 2025 acquisition of Germany’s Heubach Group, which strengthened its effect-pigment and specialty color capabilities.
Brenntag will couple the product supply with regional formulation support through its Application & Innovation Centres in Asia–Pacific, helping customers develop high-performing products with strong visual appeal by combining Sudarshan’s pigment technologies with Brenntag’s formulation expertise, application testing capabilities, and market insights.
In Australia and New Zealand, the same model applies to home care and I&I segments, where customers will gain access to Sudarshan’s broader dye and pigment ranges tailored to cleaning and institutional formulations.
For Brenntag, the deal reinforces its strategy of curating specialized, high-value ingredient portfolios for beauty and care, while leveraging its distribution network and technical centres to deepen customer stickiness in fast-growing Southeast Asian markets.
For Sudarshan, the agreement extends the commercial reach of its cosmetic and speciality colour platforms, many strengthened by the Heubach acquisition, through a global distributor with established relationships across personal care and home care manufacturers.
The timing also aligns with Sudarshan’s broader push to integrate and control key colourant assets, as seen in its recent move to acquire Clariant’s aluminium dyes plant in Muttenz, Switzerland, which will further consolidate its speciality dye supply chain.
