Cetaphil unveils nourishing body care duo in US market expansion
These products are formulated to replenish surface lipids, strengthen the skin barrier, and deliver clinically proven radiance for sensitive skin.
USA – Galderma is extending Cetaphil’s Nourishing line into the US body care category with two new moisturizers, the Nourishing & Hydrating Lotion and Nourishing & Hydrating Cream.
The expansion follows strong consumer response to the Cetaphil Nourishing Oil-to-Foam Cleanser, which validated demand for body care grounded in barrier science and prompted the brand to bring its lipid-focused technology to full-body hydration.
According to Galderma, sensitive skin is often deficient in lipids, a shortfall that weakens the barrier, drives moisture loss, and increases dryness, roughness, and irritation risk, concerns that can be exacerbated by ageing and environmental stressors.
The new products were designed to address this gap by combining advanced hydration with barrier-supporting lipids, moving beyond surface-level moisture to restore healthier-looking skin and visible glow.
The lotion is a lightweight, oil-infused formula powered by hyaluronic acid, lipids, and flaxseed oil, offering instant lipid replenishment and up to 48 hours of hydration, while the cream is a richer, fast-absorbing option with lipids and vitamin E for normal to very dry skin, delivering up to 72 hours of hydration.
Both are hypoallergenic, fragrance-free, alcohol-free, and paraben-free, and each consolidates three benefits, hydration, barrier repair, and a cosmetic glow, into a single product, mirroring the architecture used in Cetaphil’s facial care.
Consumer assessments showed that 79% of users reported more glowy-looking skin after one use, and 98% of cream users agreed their skin felt and looked less dry and more hydrated with consistent application.
Dr. Aaron Farberg, a dermatologist and Mohs surgeon at Baylor Scott & White Health and member of the Galderma Global Sensitive Skin Faculty, stated, “Our goal was to formulate body moisturizers that go beyond surface-level hydration.”

The launches arrive as the personal care industry doubles down on investment in body care, with the category seeing an uptick in science-backed, “skinified” innovations that bring facial-grade actives and claims to full-body routines.
