According to Kapa, the new product is formulated to be tough on stains, deliver brighter whites, provide long-lasting fragrance, eliminate bad smells, and remain gentle on fabrics and hands.

KENYA – Kapa Oil Refineries Limited, a leading manufacturer of quality consumer goods in East Africa, has unveiled Toss 6 in 1, a new formulation that represents the latest evolution of its long-standing Toss detergent brand.
The product is positioned as an all-in-one laundry solution designed to address six common consumer needs in a single wash.
According to the company, Toss 6 in 1 is formulated to be tough on stains, deliver brighter whites, provide long-lasting fragrance, eliminate bad smells, and remain gentle on fabrics and hands.
By combining these benefits in one detergent, the company aims to simplify the laundry process for households seeking cleaning, freshness and care in a single product.
Kapa describes the launch as a new chapter for Toss, combining the familiarity of the existing brand with an upgraded product proposition.
The detergent is designed to address common laundry challenges, including stains caused by food, dirt, sweat and outdoor activities.
The launch adds to Kapa Oil Refineries’ existing Toss portfolio, including Toss Bright, Toss White, Toss Blue, Toss Sensitive, Toss Lavender, machine-wash products, liquid detergents and heavy-duty formulations.
Toss has been part of Kenya’s household detergent market for 30 years, and the new formula builds on the brand’s established presence while responding to changing consumer expectations around cleaning performance, freshness and fabric care.
The launch retains Toss’s heritage while introducing a more consolidated formula aimed at consumers who want stain removal, brightness, fragrance, odour control and fabric care from one laundry product.
Apart from the Toss range, Kapa Oil Refineries offers several other detergent products, including Classic Lavender, Classic Detergent, Zeesoft Midnight Bloom, Zeesoft Luxurious Delight, Zeesoft Magic Sun, Rono Handwash Detergent and Rono Industrial Detergent Powder.
The company also has a range of washing bars, comprising Jamaa Washing Bar, Classic Washing Bar, Tower Washing Bar and Lido Washing Bar.
The launch comes at a time when Kenya’s powder detergents market is valued at around USD 250–300 million, with powders still accounting for nearly 70% of laundry care sales, according to a report by Euromonitor.
The growth is driven by affordability, rural penetration, and strong brand loyalty, while urban consumers are gradually shifting toward premium and liquid formats.
