Oraimo expands portfolio with home  and personal care appliances

The latest expansion suggests the company sees future growth in East Africa coming from a much broader consumer technology footprint beyond its traditional accessory business.

KENYA – Oraimo has expanded its product portfolio beyond its traditional audio and mobile accessories in Kenya, launching a comprehensive new range that includes home appliances, personal care devices, and baby-focused technology products.

The brand unveiled this diversified ecosystem at its Innovation Gala 2026 in Nairobi, marking a strategic shift from relying primarily on smartphone accessories to building a multi-category product lineup that covers multiple areas of everyday household life.

At the event, Oraimo showcased products spanning six major categories, including audio equipment, wearable devices, personal care items, kitchen appliances, household goods, and maternal/baby care products.

While the broader ecosystem formed the centrepiece of the event, Oraimo also formally introduced the SpaceBuds 2 wireless earbuds to the Kenyan market following an earlier soft launch.

The device features active noise cancellation for an immersive audio experience, spatial audio capabilities for enhanced sound positioning, and AI-powered features, including language translation.

In personal care, the brand offers grooming tools such as clippers, trimmers, and shavers, as well as oral care devices like electric toothbrushes, and hair styling appliances such as smart curlers and straighteners.

For baby care, Oraimo offers PPSU and silicone feeding bottles, electric and manual breast pumps, pacifiers, teethers, baby toothbrushes, and smart feeding sets that include plates, spoons, bibs, and food makers.

These products are designed to be affordable, safe, and convenient, with many available through Oraimo’s official outlets and platforms like Jumia Kenya.

Oraimo’s strategy places significant emphasis on channel expansion beyond product launches, highlighting partnerships with distributors, wholesalers, and retailers, underscoring the importance of physical retail networks in reaching consumers across the region.

This focus was evident in the gala’s attendee makeup, where business partners and retail stakeholders featured prominently alongside media and content creators.

The company plans to continue supporting its commercial network through training programs for retail partners, partnership initiatives designed to strengthen product availability, and strategies to expand market reach.

The move comes as Kenya continues to attract investment from international consumer technology firms seeking a gateway into East Africa, with Nairobi emerging as a key commercial hub for regional distribution networks, supported by an expanding retail sector and growing demand for affordable technology products.

Founded in 2014, Oraimo says it serves more than 200 million users globally and has built its reputation around audio products, wearable devices, and mobile accessories, and the brand is recognized as the No. 1 Personal Audio (TWS) and Wearable (Smart Watch) brand in Africa.
