INDIA – Godrej Consumer Products Limited (GCPL), an Indian Multinational consumer goods company, has committed ₹700 crores(USD 82.04 million) to manufacturing expansion, reinforcing its confidence in the resurgence of consumer demand over the next 12 to 18 months.
This investment is strategically allocated to enhancing production capacity at its newly established factories in Tamil Nadu(South India) and Madhya Pradesh(North India), while also laying the groundwork for a new manufacturing facility in Indonesia within the next two years.
The expansion aligns with GCPL’s broader vision of strengthening its presence in both domestic and international markets, ensuring efficient supply chain operations and scalability.
The Tamil Nadu facility, designed as a multi-category unit, will manufacture a diverse range of consumer products, including soaps, deodorants, hair colours, and household insecticides.
Similarly, the Madhya Pradesh factory is expected to boost production capacity for key product lines, catering to growing market demand.
Recently, GCPL appointed Toris Davis as its new Chief Commercial Officer for Hair Care in North America.
In her new position, Tori will also oversee retail partnerships, e-commerce channels, and digital marketing efforts.
In addition, she will be involved in the development and implementation of commercial strategies to drive growth for Strength of Nature’s portfolio, which includes brands like African Pride, Just for Me, and Darling.

With over two decades of experience in the consumer goods industry, Davis-Artis previously held leadership positions at Procter & Gamble, where she managed commercial strategies for brands like Olay, Old Spice, and Pantene.
She also served as Chief Operating Officer at Walker & Company, where she led end-to-end commercial operations and product development.
Meanwhile, GCPL reported a consolidated net profit of ₹412 crore(USD 48.29 million) for the March 2025 quarter, driven by steady volume growth in the domestic market and strategic investments in manufacturing expansion.
In addition, the company has strengthened its product portfolio, expanding into deodorants, liquid detergents, and pet food through acquisitions like Park Avenue and Kamasutra.
