Inolex appoints Stephen Carter as Commercial Director, Head of North America Sales

Carter is recognized for combining technical expertise with a commercial focus and a commitment to cultivating strong customer relationships.

USA – Inolex, an American company that designs ingredients for the personal care and cosmetics industries, has nominated Stephen Carter as the new Commercial Director, Head of North America Sales.

According to the company, Carter will be responsible for steering the regional business strategy and driving customer expansion efforts across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Carter brings nearly 15 years of industry experience and a strong track record of leadership within the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists, where he has held the role of Treasurer and was among the founding members of the Suppliers’ Day Committee. 

He is recognized for combining technical expertise with a commercial focus and a commitment to cultivating strong customer relationships.

Since joining Inolex in 2024, Stephen Carter has been instrumental in advancing the company’s U.S. customer engagement strategy, promoting the adoption of safe, natural, and sustainable ingredients in consumer products. 

Recently, Inolex unveiled its Climate Action Plan, reinforcing its commitment to sustainable growth and carbon reduction. 

The company is formally engaging with the Science-Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) and CDP to ensure its decarbonization efforts align with global standards. As part of its strategy, Inolex is working to reduce emissions, enhance transparency, and encourage supplier participation in climate action. 

Bradley Cook, EVP Global Head of Manufacturing, said, “Inolex is tackling climate action in the same way we take on many other innovation, market, and sustainability challenges: engaging the industry and all our stakeholders, leveraging third-party standards and validation, and designing creative solutions to exponentiate our impact.”

The firm has already earned a B rating from CDP, the highest available score for small-to-medium-sized enterprises, showcasing its dedication to environmental responsibility. 

Through these initiatives, Inolex aims to create more sustainable products, safeguard ecosystems, and drive meaningful change across the industry.
