Seppic unveils mushroom-based nutraceutical for immunity and skin health

FRANCE – Seppic, a French chemical company that designs and supplies speciality products for health and wellbeing, has introduced Chagadvance, a mushroom-based nutraceutical ingredient derived from organic chaga(Inonotus Obliquus).

The product is designed for supplement and nutricosmetic applications, offering benefits related to immune health, antioxidant properties, and support for inflammatory conditions. 

It aims to address concerns such as acne, skin redness, and premature ageing, positioning itself as a solution for consumers seeking enhanced wellness and skincare support.

The extract is harvested in the pristine forests of Finnish Lapland and is obtained through a gentle hot water extraction process, preserving its rich bioactive compounds, including beta-glucans and polyphenols, which are known for their immune-modulating and skin-protective properties.

Chagadvance is certified organic and comes in powder format, making it ideal for use in capsules.

The launch comes at a time when consumer interest in natural, science-backed wellness solutions is surging, particularly in the areas of immune support and skin health.

According to a report by Future Market Insights, the global Chaga mushroom-based products market is projected to reach USD 35.1 billion in 2025, driven by growing consumer demand for functional foods and natural health supplements. 

The market is expected to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 11.0% through 2035, reaching an estimated USD 99.6 billion by 2035.

Recently, Seppic launched Ganocalm, a botanical extract derived from Reishi mushroom (Ganoderma lucidum), known for its adaptogenic and soothing properties. 

This latest launch is designed to provide immediate relief for sensitive skin, targeting dryness, redness, and stinging sensations through a triple-action mechanism.

According to the company, Ganocalm works through a three-pronged approach, offering sensory modulation, inflammation reduction, and skin barrier reinforcement. 

Within five minutes of application, it reduces stinging sensations by 15.6 times compared to a placebo. After one hour, it limits redness by 2.5 times, providing visible relief. 

In addition, it enhances skin hydration by 1.3 times, strengthening the skin’s natural defence.

Seppic ensures that Ganocalm meets strict sustainability standards, with certifications including COSMOS approval, NaTrue compliance, Halal certification, and adherence to Chinese regulatory requirements.
