IFF strengthens its board with appointment of Gina Drosos

Drosos brings more than 30 years of leadership experience.

USA – IFF, an American corporation renowned for its innovations in scents, flavours, and ingredients, has appointed Gina Drosos to its board of directors, effective June 16, 2025. 

Her role will involve contributing to IFF’s long-term strategy, leveraging her expertise in innovation, sustainability, and purpose-driven growth to help shape the company’s future.

With over three decades of leadership experience, Drosos has built a reputation for driving strategic transformation across retail, consumer goods, beauty, and healthcare industries.

Most recently, she served as chief executive officer of Signet Jewelers Ltd., where she led a digital evolution, strengthening customer engagement and expanding e-commerce capabilities. 

Before that, she spent 25 years at Procter & Gamble, holding leadership roles that shaped global innovations in beauty, skincare, and personal care.

Kevin O’Byrne, chair of the board, stated, “Gina brings extensive relevant experience, deep consumer insights and a proven ability to drive innovation and lead with purpose, which aligns with our long-term strategy to deliver sustainable growth and value creation for all stakeholders.”

Drosos currently sits on the boards of Foot Locker Inc. and the United States Golf Association and previously served as a director at American Financial Group, Inc., contributing to key audit and governance committees.

 Drosos emphasized her enthusiasm about her new role, stating, “I look forward to contributing to the company’s long-term strategy and helping shape its future as a global leader in food and beverage, home and personal care and health and wellness solutions.”

Meanwhile, IFF recently opened its Scent Creative Centre at the Dubai Science Park Laboratory.

The 2000-square-metre centre is designed to strengthen its fragrance innovations.

It aims to meet the region’s evolving consumer needs through advanced scent performance and delivery solutions.

Equipped with state-of-the-art technology and facilities, IFF’s new Scent Dubai Creative Centre blends innovation with cultural inspiration, drawing from local and regional artistic and design heritage. 

The centre features a co-creation perfumery studio, a traditional majlis, a perfumery academy, and a semi-industrial production robot designed to accelerate innovation. 

According to the company, their scent team has been active in Dubai for over 15 years, playing a key role in shaping the region’s perfumery market and driving the global success of iconic Middle Eastern fragrances.
