The deal marks a significant step for Albéa in strengthening its presence in one of the fastest-growing markets globally.

USA – Albéa Group has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of Amfora Packaging, a leading packaging company serving the beauty and personal care sectors across Latin America.
The deal marks a significant step for Albéa in strengthening its presence in one of the fastest-growing markets globally.
Amfora, formed in 2015 through the merger of Colombian company Intecplast and Peru-based Pieriplast, has developed a reputation for delivering innovative and high-quality packaging solutions.
Over the years, under the ownership of private equity firm ACON Investments, Amfora experienced substantial growth and broadened its client base across Latin America, North America, and Europe.
Albéa’s acquisition of Amfora aligns with its strategic vision to deepen its footprint in key global regions, complementing its current operations in the U.S. and Mexico.
According to Albéa’s CEO François Tassart, the company’s strengthened customer relationships and local expertise through Amfora will enhance their ability to serve international beauty and personal care brands while meeting increasing demands for sustainable and locally sourced packaging.
Bertrand de la Tour d’Artaise, Senior Vice President of Strategy and M&A at Albéa, highlighted that the acquisition is a milestone reflecting shared values between the two companies, including customer focus, innovation, and corporate social responsibility.
The acquisition signifies Albéa’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, following its recent collaborations on eco-friendly packaging solutions with brands.
This partnership positions Albéa to lead the beauty packaging sector with a comprehensive, geographically diverse portfolio.
The terms of the transaction were not disclosed, but industry experts note that Amfora’s established infrastructure and export-oriented approach make it an attractive asset for Albéa’s growth ambitions.
This move by Albéa Group represents a strategic investment to capture growth opportunities in the Latin American beauty and personal care packaging market, leveraging Amfora’s regional strength to fuel future expansion.
Meanwhile, Albéa recently provided Laboratoires SVR, a France-based company known for its dermatological expertise, with innovative and recyclable tubes designed to minimize plastic waste.
Laboratoires SVR has integrated these sustainable tubes into its Sensifine Makeup Remover Balm and Topialyse body cream lines.
One of their key developments includes the (RE)flex sleeve and EcoFusion Top, which merge the head and cap into a single component, significantly reducing material usage and overall packaging weight.
