Burcu Andreae-Nehlsen named President of Beiersdorf’s Derma & Health Care division

This strategic move highlights the company’s commitment to strengthening its position in dermatological skin care and wound care markets.

GERMANY – Beiersdorf has elevated Burcu Andreae-Nehlsen to its Executive Committee, while appointing her as President of Derma & Health Care, effective immediately.

In her new role, Andreae-Nehlsen assumes global responsibility for Beiersdorf’s key Derma and Health Care brands, including Eucerin, Aquaphor, Hansaplast, CURITAS, and Elastoplast.

Andreae-Nehlsen brings extensive international leadership and innovation experience from the beauty industry, notably from her former position as Global Head of Innovation Skin Care & Cleansing at L’Oréal, where she crafted global innovation strategies for skin care brands.

At Beiersdorf, she will spearhead the strategic development of these critical portfolios, previously overseen on an interim basis by CEO Vincent Warnery.

Beiersdorf CEO Vincent Warnery praised Andreae-Nehlsen, stating, “Her impressive track record and strategic vision on brand development and dermatological innovation make her the perfect choice for this role.”

“I am confident that she will play a key role in advancing our business in this area. We look forward to working with her.”

The appointment also reflects Beiersdorf’s continued momentum in these sectors, with the Derma brands Eucerin and Aquaphor achieving a 10.6% organic sales growth in fiscal 2024, while Health Care brands Hansaplast, CURITAS, and Elastoplast recorded 6.1% growth.

Innovations such as the Thiamidol® ingredient, Epicelline®, and the breakthrough ‘Second Skin Protection’ plasters have been key contributors to this success.

Burcu Andreae-Nehlsen underscored her commitment to driving dermatological innovation and empowering consumers in their skin health journeys through the iconic brands under her leadership.

The formal inclusion of the President Derma & Health Care role in the Executive Committee underscores the strategic importance of these portfolios within Beiersdorf’s overall business vision, “Win with care.”

This leadership change arrives as Beiersdorf reinforces its legacy of over 140 years in pioneering skin care research and innovation, cementing its global footprint with iconic brands loved by millions worldwide.

Beiersdorf recently nominated Pierre Kröning as its new Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Managing Director of Beiersdorf IT, effective September 1, 2025.

Kröning, a 20-year veteran of the company, succeeds Annette Hamann, who departed after many years of service.

In his new role, he will report directly to Beiersdorf’s Chief Financial Officer, Astrid Hermann.

As CIO, Kröning aims to make IT a strategic partner deeply embedded in the company’s processes, fostering innovation, efficiency, and growth.
