Appointment updates: Byoma names new Global President and Chief Brand Officer, Image Skincare appoints new CEO, PBA expands advocacy leadership team

UK/USA – Byoma has appointed Tara Loftis as its first Global President and Chief Brand Officer.

This appointment, effective early January 2026, follows the brand’s 2025 acquisition by The Bansk Group, a firm overseeing more than USD 3 billion in assets, and signals a push toward global growth, retail expansion, and advanced product development.

Loftis reports directly to Founder and CEO Marc Elrick, managing global innovation, marketing, scientific research, creative direction, and overarching brand strategy from hubs in Los Angeles, Paris, and Glasgow.

Loftis arrives from Galderma, where, as Global President of Dermatological Skincare, she led powerhouse brands including Cetaphil and Alastin, achieving growth that outpaced the market through digital tools, AI-driven personalization, and high-impact campaigns such as Cetaphil’s Super Bowl-linked activations, which generated vast earned media without traditional ad spend.

Image Skincare returns Dr. Marc Ronert as CEO

Image Skincare, a leader in professional-grade skincare formulations, has reinstated its founder, Dr. Marc Ronert, a trained dermatologist and chemist, as Chief Executive Officer.

This return to leadership leverages Ronert’s original vision to navigate current market shifts toward sophisticated, results-driven treatments for estheticians, spas, and at-home users.

Ronert’s expertise in ingredient science and clinical efficacy, honed since the brand’s launch, will drive fresh innovation and strengthen market positioning.

The shift reaffirms Image Skincare’s commitment to high-performance products amid rising competition in the professional beauty space.

PBA expands government affairs team with key promotions

The Professional Beauty Association (PBA), the American premier advocate for salon and spa professionals, has strategically expanded and realigned its government affairs team to intensify lobbying, policy influence, and regulatory support.

These changes enhance PBA’s ability to safeguard the industry’s interests on critical issues like product safety, licensing standards, labor protections, workforce training, and sustainability mandates at the federal and state levels.

Key updates include elevating Myra Reddy, PBA’s longstanding Director of Government Affairs with 15 years navigating legislatures, lobbyists, and stakeholders, to Vice President of Government Affairs, amplifying her efforts in legislative tracking and advocacy for licensed beauty professionals.

Kati Rapoza joins as a vital team member, bringing targeted expertise in grassroots mobilization and coalition-building, while Leslie Roste contributes specialized expertise in compliance and policy analysis.

This lineup positions PBA to more effectively champion salon owners, stylists, estheticians, distributors, and manufacturers against threats of deregulation and for equitable policies.

The expansion arrives amid intensifying regulatory scrutiny, ensuring beauty professionals gain robust resources to support business resilience and growth.
