This strategic acquisition demonstrates Disproquima’s dedication to strengthening its position in the global market while expanding its ability to serve the personal care sector with enhanced capabilities and localized expertise.

POLAND – Disproquima, a Spain-based life science company, has strengthened its personal care portfolio by acquiring Enzym Kosmetyki, a Polish distributor of cosmetic ingredients, in a strategic move completed on May 25, 2026.
This acquisition represents a step in Disproquima’s long-term international growth strategy, specifically targeting the fast-growing Central and Eastern European markets.
The acquisition preserves Enzym’s internal knowledge by maintaining its leadership structure, with Agnieszka Choynowska, former co-owner of Enzym, continuing to lead the business as Country Manager for Poland, ensuring continuity and preserving the company’s deep market relationships.
Sandra Sánchez, CEO at Disproquima, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “This acquisition is fully aligned with Disproquima’s long-term strategy of strengthening our presence in key markets while enhancing our innovation capabilities in the personal care segment.”
“By joining forces with Enzym, we are becoming closer to our customers in Central and Eastern Europe, allowing us to better understand local market trends and respond more quickly to evolving consumer demands.”
The Polish personal care market stands out as one of the most dynamic and promising in Central Europe, featuring more than 1,500 personal care producers and driven by a strong manufacturing base, increasingly sophisticated consumers, and rising demand for sustainable products.
Founded in 2015, Enzym Kosmetyki has built a strong reputation in the Polish market supported by a broad portfolio of high-quality cosmetic ingredients and long-standing relationships with both customers and principals.
The company’s dedicated Personal Care Applications Lab and highly experienced technical team will create a stronger international network when combined with Disproquima’s existing laboratories in Spain and Italy, thereby enhancing technical expertise, formulation capabilities, and market-driven innovation across the expanded portfolio.
Although both companies currently maintain complementary portfolios, strong collaborations are already emerging from the integration, including opportunities to introduce Disproquima’s ingredient portfolio to Enzym’s existing customer network and to expand access to raw materials and technologies across Central and Eastern Europe.
In addition, the two companies are combining market knowledge, application expertise, and local customer insights to better support Polish manufacturers in product development.
The combined entity will be able to bring new concepts and solutions to market more quickly through closer collaboration, offering more comprehensive, innovative, and customized solutions adapted to the evolving needs of the personal care industry.
