Cascade expands portfolio with new dishwashing liquid
Both the rinse aid and Platinum Plus are designed to be safe for dishwasher use and reflect the brand’s long history in automatic dishwashing since 1955.
USA – Procter & Gamble’s Cascade brand has expanded its portfolio with the launch of a new Clean and Dry Booster Rinse Aid, a product designed to improve drying performance and shine when used with Cascade Platinum Plus.
The new rinse aid is meant to work during the final rinse cycle, helping reduce spots, boost drying, and leave dishes looking cleaner.
According to the brand, the product is aimed at addressing common dishwasher frustrations such as water spots, cloudiness, hard water residue, and damp dishes, while helping remove food film and residue for improved results after every cycle.
The launch comes as Cascade cites consumer pain points with conventional dishwashing, including dishes that remain wet after a full cycle and visible streaks on glassware.
To solve this, the rinse aid uses a sheeting action that helps water run off surfaces instead of beading up, which Cascade says can deliver 5x better drying and spot prevention compared with detergent alone.
P&G scientist Morgan Eberhard said “Rinse aids are used to treat the water during the rinse cycle of your dishwasher, to lower the surface tension so water cascades off dishes, rather than beading up on the surface.”
“By using a rinse aid like Cascade® Clean and Dry Booster, you’re minimizing or even eliminating the droplets left behind – so no more pesky water spots.”
Cascade says the product is simple to use: consumers just fill the rinse aid dispenser next to the detergent chamber and let it work during the final rinse cycle, with no extra wash steps required.
The company also recommends monthly refills and pairing the product with Cascade Platinum Plus, which it says combines grease-fighting power with tough food scrubbers to remove up to 100% of food residue.
Recently, Cascade introduced its New & Improved Platinum Plus, a dishwashing detergent designed to tackle the most challenging kitchen messes.
The new product features an enhanced formula that eliminates almost all food residues, delivering a nearly spotless shine and dryness.
It is designed to address consumers’ biggest dishwashing challenges, including stubborn food residue, tough grease, and streaky dishes.
