Huggies renames preemie diaper range to Huggies Little Fighters

According to Huggies, the new name is inspired by the strength, resilience, and determination babies show in the NICU every day.

USA – Kimberly-Clark’s Huggies brand has rebranded its smallest NICU diaper, previously sold under the Huggies Little Snugglers line, as Huggies Little Fighters.

The name change was unveiled during NICU Awareness Month in September 2026 to celebrate the resilience of premature infants and the caregivers who support them.

The move reframes how these babies are perceived, shifting from language that suggests fragility to language that underscores strength and determination.

The renaming specifically covers the nano preemie and micro preemie diaper sizes, which are now marketed as Huggies Little Fighters instead of Huggies Little Snugglers.

Nano preemie diapers are intended for babies under 2 pounds, while micro preemie diapers are designed for babies under 4 pounds.

These products were developed with input from NICU nurses and therapists and include design features to accommodate medical lines and tubes while supporting gentle skin care and developmental positioning.

According to Huggies, since 2013, it has hand-inspected more than 38 million nano and micro preemie diapers as part of its quality process for NICU use.

Alongside the renaming, Huggies is running a story-driven campaign throughout September to highlight real NICU journeys and rally communities around NICU families.

The brand is inviting parents, family members, friends, and caregivers to share their NICU experiences on the specified social media handle.

During September 2026, the @niculittlefighters channel will feature “Fighting Words,” a collection of memories, messages, and stories meant to reflect the strength of NICU babies and their support networks.

The initiative is positioned as part of NICU Awareness Month, with September 30 highlighted in related advocacy contexts as NICU Awareness Day.

Huggies is tying the campaign to financial support for NICU families through the Derick Hall One Percent Foundation.

From May 8, 2026 through December 31, 2026, Huggies will donate USD 1 to the foundation for every post that uses the @niculittlefighters tag.

The program carries a minimum donation of USD 100,000 and a maximum of USD 250,000, subject to terms.

The foundation support is framed as an ongoing element of Huggies’ NICU-focused efforts, with the September campaign serving as a concentrated storytelling and awareness push.
