Symrise completes acquisition of Floral Concept
Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
FRANCE – Symrise has finalized its acquisition of 100% of the share capital of Floral Concept, a French producer of premium natural fragrance ingredients headquartered in Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne in the Pays de Grasse region.
Following the completion of the transaction, Floral Concept has joined Symrise’s Fragrance division.
The acquisition, first announced in July, strengthens Symrise’s Premium Naturals position and supports the company’s ONE Symrise strategy.
Together with Maison Lautier 1795, Floral Concept will form a dedicated naturals cluster in Grasse, combining expertise in the sourcing, transformation and creative development of natural fragrance ingredients.

Maintaining business continuity will be an immediate priority following the acquisition. Floral Concept’s employees, corporate culture, close customer relationships, producer network and technical expertise remain central to the strategic rationale behind the transaction.
In the longer term, customers are expected to benefit from a broader Premium Naturals portfolio, stronger sourcing and transformation capabilities, and access to Symrise’s global fragrance expertise.
The combination of Floral Concept and Maison Lautier 1795 will bring together premium naturals knowledge, customer proximity and established producer relationships.
Founded in 2002, Floral Concept develops and supplies premium natural ingredients for fine fragrance applications.
Its portfolio includes extracts derived from jasmine, rose, orange blossom, ambrette and blackcurrant.
To support its rapid growth, FLORAL CONCEPT commissioned a new industrial facility in 2012 at Saint-Cézaire-sur-Siagne, near Grasse.
The site accommodates the company’s analysis laboratory, R&D operations, molecular distillation capabilities, and logistics functions.
In 2019, the company added a second production unit on the same campus, consolidating all manufacturing activities under one roof.
The company’s core expertise spans traditional perfumery processes, producing concretes, absolutes, resinoids, and essential oils, as well as advanced extraction technologies.
These include supercritical CO₂ extraction, molecular distillation, bleaching and deterpenation, and producing fragrance “cores” and isolates.
Beyond manufacturing, FLORAL CONCEPT offers technical advisory and development services for bespoke or exclusive ingredient solutions tailored to client specifications.
