Beauty brands tap into autumn trend with limited-edition fall collections

Across the launches, brands are relying on three main commercial approaches: emotional storytelling, product-format expansion and controlled availability.

USA – Pumpkin spice is moving beyond seasonal beverages and into personal care as major US brands introduce autumn-inspired products across body care, deodorants, hair care and fragrance.

Dove, Old Spice, and Native are using familiar fall scents, nostalgic packaging, and limited-edition availability to transform everyday routines into seasonal experiences built around comfort, warmth, and emotional connection.

The trend reflects the growing popularity of gourmand fragrances, scents inspired by food and beverages such as pumpkin, cinnamon, caramel, vanilla, baked goods and coffee.

Bath & Body Works expands fall offer

Bath & Body Works is entering the autumn season with a 34-piece Fall Traditions collection, alongside a Halloween range built around a carnival theme.

Its seasonal fragrance line includes Football Season, The Perfect Autumn and Cider Lane.

The Halloween assortment combines returning scents such as Vampire Blood, Ghoul Friend and Pumpkin Carving with new launches including Cotton Candy Cobwebs and Carnival Fog.

The products extend across body wash, fine fragrance mist, hand soap and hand sanitizer, as well as home fragrance and decorative products.

Dove introduces Holiday Treats

Unilever-owned Dove is returning with its limited-edition Holiday Treats Collection for a third consecutive year.

The range includes five new seasonal fragrances and four returning scents inspired by the comforting aromas associated with autumn and the holidays.

New fragrances include Pear Delight, Winter Berry, Snickerdoodle, Salted Caramel and Vanilla Frosting.

Returning options are Pecan Crunch, Cinnamon Pumpkin, Sugar Cookie and Frosted Plum.

Dove is positioning the collection as a combination of seasonal fragrance and body care, emphasising nourishment and skin care rather than scent alone.

The brand links the launch to the so-called “False Fall” phenomenon, in which consumers begin adopting autumnal habits after even a brief spell of cooler weather.

Old Spice revives Fallidudes

Procter & Gamble is participating in the trend through Old Spice’s return to its limited-edition Fallidudes collection.

The 2026 lineup features three character-based scents: Pumpking, Apple Crumbro and Frankenstud.

The collection is available for a limited period in selected aluminium-free deodorant sticks, antiperspirants, body washes and two-in-one shampoo and conditioner products.

This format strategy allows Old Spice to place seasonal fragrance across several stages of men’s grooming routines rather than restricting it to a single deodorant product.

The launch also continues Old Spice’s established use of humour, fictional characters and bold naming to make personal care more entertaining.

Native partners with Peanuts

Native has launched its fall collection through a collaboration with Peanuts, using the comic strip’s characters and imagery to reinforce the nostalgic appeal of the season.

The packaging depicts Peanuts characters participating in activities such as apple and pumpkin picking and walks through fallen leaves.

The collection includes Apple Orchard, Crisp Night Sky, Maple Latte and Harvest Moon.

Together, the fragrances cover fruit, woods, herbs, coffee, spice and floral notes, giving consumers several interpretations of autumn beyond pumpkin alone.
