The skin care-infused eye shadow formulation is designed to merge makeup performance with dermatological benefits.

FRANCE – Core Biogenesis, a France-based biotechnology company, has introduced Eye Longevity Shadow, expanding its longevity-focused innovation platform into colour cosmetics.
The product combines several key active ingredients and technologies to deliver aesthetic and functional benefits, including Peauvita, the company’s plant-derived biomimetic growth factor technology built on its patented Oleosome-EGF platform, engineered to support skin renewal and longevity.
It also includes hyaluronic acid for its well-documented hydrating and plumping properties, plus mineral pigments to deliver the high-quality colour payoff and visual impact typical of premium eye makeup.
Positioned primarily as a technology showcase for beauty brands, the concept demonstrates how biotechnology can be integrated into eye makeup to offer more than just colour, aiming to contribute to healthier-looking skin over time.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, the company introduced Lip Longevity Gloss and Skin Longevity Butter in partnership with Italian distributor Faravelli, signalling the company’s strategy to scale its biotech-driven longevity platform across multiple cosmetic categories.
The launch aligns with a broader industry trend where consumers are increasingly seeking makeup formulations that include functional skin care ingredients and prioritize both aesthetics and skin health, according to Innova Market Insights.
Tony Abboud, chief commercial officer of Core Biogenesis, stated, “Consumers no longer see makeup and skin care as separate categories.”
“The future of colour cosmetics lies in products that not only create visual impact but also contribute to healthier-looking skin. Eye Longevity Shadow demonstrates how biotechnology can help shape that evolution.”
This movement is evident across the sector, with companies like Evonik unveiling skinified colour cosmetics at In-cosmetics Global 2026 and Schwan Cosmetics introducing hybrid lip liners that treat lips as a dedicated skin care zone.
For beauty brands, especially those targeting African, Middle Eastern, and emerging markets, Core Biogenesis’s Eye Longevity Shadow concept offers a ready-to-license or co-develop platform that taps into rising consumer demand for multifunctional, science-backed cosmetics.
In a similar move, Green chemistry company P2 Science, known for sourcing its ingredients from circular feedstocks, has introduced Feel Good Colour, a sustainable colour cosmetics collection built around its CitroSperse bio-based pigment dispersions.
